Silicone hoses anyone?

good evening gents.
as title says has anyone any silicone stuff in their engine bays?
- anybody atempted to replace/reinforce OEM hoses,pipework with silicone stuff?

just asking because i playing with the thought of making my own hoses mainly TIP,intercooler hoses.
as the OEM ones are quite poor/restrictive.
if anyone has any ideas write ups, links to existing kits please help me out.

it came in the post today. 5 min job....
fitted and happy with it so..
