Car scratched by some idiot!

Yip not good. Scratch is about 4" long on the back n/s passenger door.
What are peoples opinions on Car Touch Up Pens v the variant with the brush?

Get a touch up pen from a dealer....fill the line then leave it for a week, fill again and repeat a few times.

Then wetfalt it back and polish.......should make a huge difference

smart repair, have someone come and do it properly. Touch up pens are crap and when you relise that and get a pro in anyway it makes thier job harder. £150 should get the door look as good as new.

if you at all bothered about the scratch get it repaired properly and have a "smart" repair done, well worth the cost.

If you like your car, don't bother with a smart repair, as ther is nothing smart about a smart repair. For the simple 'fact' that 9/10 of them have been trained within a week and don't have a clue, also they tend to use 1k lacquer, which is not uv resistant (ultra violet) which means the more it sits in the sun, the more it cracks and dies off, which in return makes it a re-work for a pro to put right. I'm audi approved and my only advise is to take it to someone who uses 2k lacquer (any crash repair centre or Bodyshop who is approved in anyway will use 2k) depending on where the scratch is, it would be a case of just painting the door. I use the simple saying of 'buy cheap buy twice'. If you also want it to be audi approved, take it to someone who uses spies hecker products. Hope this helps.
