Map lights?

Ive been looking for a front and rear interior light with map lights and noticed they are alot cheaper for the 8L and look the same, will they fit the 8P?

Also any info on the best crisp bright white led bulbs to buy with no errors, ive seen these cree ones whats better about them?

There was one for an 8p on eBay for £29.99 as advertised by a member on here if I remember correctly. That's not a bad price tbh.

I am also after the Map lights for the front. I have seen many 8L map lights and they look exactly the same but does anyone know if the 8L map lights will fit the 8P?

I think the 8l ones don't have the alarm sensor inside the unit.

If you need rear ones I have them for sale.

Whats different about them? Can they not be modified?

If thats the case of swapping the internals surely its the same for the 8L?

I strongly suspect that's correct but I can't honestly say I have done it.

The mounting screws into the roof are in different places.

Stoke Audi do both front and rear ambient lighting units with map reading lights. They dont come up very often on Flea bay and they are normally more expensive than what Stoke charge. They aren't advertised for sale on their website though....you'll have to phone them up and order them.

Any idea on the cost from Audi?

I have seen a few on the bay but are the grey coloured ones but only going for £25! Might buy one and re-paint it the correct colour but depend what Audi charge for it.

When I had my car I bought mine from Audi and I paid £76 I think but that was 3 or 4 years ago....

No, that was for the front one. I never did the rear, but I believe the rear one was around £40.
