Cheapest place to buy original Audi alloys?

Thinking of getting a set of original Audi RS4 7 spoke alloys for my B7 - part no 8E0601025BF but no way am i gonna pay dealer prices...Highland Audi quoted me £605 per alloy. Came across this website in Germany which is selling the same alloys for £440 each + £15 delivery (total) to UK. Is this price unlikely to be beaten/matched by a UK supplier?

Also Highland Audi recommended i use a 225/40/18 tyre with these alloys to stop the speedo giving a big difference compared to my current 16" wheels - 205/55/16. Is this correct?

S- line 18" tyres are 235 40 18 as standard , 225 will fit but will slightly stretched ?

The question i'd ask would be 'why'?!

If I was going with oem wheels, i'd be going replica's or second hand.

Even if you get them at the cheaper price, by the time you stick rubber on them, you're catapulting towards £2400............ to me thats just absolute insanity.

I know not everyone is a fan of the replica wheel, but the absurd prices Audi charges for real ones makes it a necessity for many of us. There are only so many originals out there on Ebay waiting to be refurbed. But if you do go down the replica route, the price in that link you have posted is nowhere near competitive.


I got a set of 4 new-style RS4 18-inch reps from Wheels Gateway (Click Here). They'll supply them with budget tyres for £575, with Falken ZE912s for £725. I chose the Falkens. Or if you prefer to source your own tyres, they'll do the wheels only for £345. Bolts, locking bolts, and centre caps all included.

225/40/18 sounds about right to be replacing 205/55/16s. That's what I got on my old B6.

I've bought two different sets of reps from them, and the service has been extremely good. The site is easy to use, but I find them very good to speak to, so always pick up the phone and have a chat.

Thanks mate. You said Audi oem alloys are made by Ronal yet i couldn't find any 7 spoke wheel on Ronal's website. This is the closest match i could find:

Thanks, very tempted to buy them at that price. Are you 100% satisfied with the quality? Is there a min 1 year warranty (exc wear/tear)? When you go from a 16" to 18" alloy, i guess you can feel the road bumps more due to the tyre having a smaller profile but is the difference huge?

I've had no qualms over quality. The only problems I've had have been self-inflicted. As far as warranty is concerned, speak to Wheels Gateway themselves; I never had cause to ask them as I always rely on the Sale of Goods Act.

As far as ride is concerned, that will depend on what your current set up is, including the suspension. You say you are on 16 inch wheels just now, so I'm guessing your car is an SE, not an S-Line. If you fit 18-inch wheels, you'll need to play about a bit to find the right pressures to suit your needs, but you should not find a big change in ride.

A note of caution, though. If you put 18 inch wheels on an SE, the car will look too high, and you will then want to fit lowering springs. Trust me; it happened to me. I'll find the pics in a moment and show you what I mean. So if you are in an SE and you really aren't prepared to fit lowering springs, don't fit 18 inch wheels. Get a set of 17 inchers instead. There are plenty of those to choose from on the same site, and of course they're cheaper still.

The one thing I would mention about replicas is the center caps. I bought a set but the center caps were dodgy looking stickers. And Audi original center caps wouldn't fit the wheels so I ended up selling them on.
I'd definitely recommend checking to ensure audi centre caps will fit you don't want peeling stickers after time.

Depends which centre caps you get. A lot of companies out there now specialise in replica wheel centre caps.

Bought a set of 19" A6 Le Mans Edition wheels off eBay for £500 (needed new tyres however) and fitted a brand new set of Vredesteins for £650. Total of £1150 for genuine wheels with brand new tyres I'd say wasn't bad. Although the wheel specs are 8.5j ET48 so spacers are needed to correct stance and avoid scraping on full lock. Tyres are 235/35/19 BTW so anything wider than that will need accounting for on the front, not too sure on the back as I'm running 15mm spacers on the rear and 5mm on the front.
