Anyone got any idea how to fit it? lol

The plugs are about £8 from Audi and the cables are about £5 each..................there's 12 of them.
Anyone got a pin out for it?
I'm not buying 12 when I might need 4 lol.

That was just the CAN wiring. Found the extra wiring here:

So......

Assuming the R94 - Navigation Interface is correct the pins are as follows:

Pin 2 - CAN-Low from Speedo (T32/19)
Pin 3 - CAN-High from Speedo (T32/20)
Pin 8 - Navigation CAN-Low from Navigation (T26/26)
Pin 9 - Navigation CAN-High from Navigation (T26/13)
Pin 6 - Positive from Radio (T8/7)
Pin 12 - Earth

That should do it.

I can't do the speedo side of it yet but hopefully it will work with just the navi.
I'll give it ago when I got the parts.

Thanks.

Nope, you don't have to tap into illumination.

You want to connect Pin 6 of the interface to the SAFE wire (Pin 7). This is the +12v to the stereo and what will also power up the navigation interface.

I wonder why it would want a constant live.
I assumed it would be for the illumination.

Its just taking the same power feed from the radio to power the interface. The RNS-D shuts down on ignition and will subsequently shut the interface down too. At least that's what Elsa's telling me, haha.

haha, here's hoping.
We'll see what happens when I plug it in. lol

The RNS-d unit is the only Canbus item I got in the car at the moment (Apart from the TMC that don't work), so hopefully this will work.

That's for the BNS Navigation system where the directions are shown in the instrument cluster, and the navigation CD device is fitted in the boot of the car. BNS was an option on the B6 and the old A6. This won't remote control the RNS-D.

I had that fear and thought fk it, I'll give it ago, they mentioned dash and not clock.

I'll slap in to canbus and see what happens.

If it doesn't work I hope it lights up.
At least I'll have something to put in to the pointless waste of space.

The RNS-D does not have can-bus so there is no communication between the devices.

If you put that in the hole behind the ciggy lighter, won't the buttons be upside down?
