ASN's Pub

I'm a chartered accountant (sorry!) and been doing more tax stuff recently, so considering doing tax technician exams. Waiting to hear what credits I'd get for prior learning so I can work out how many exams / how much money it's going to cost me...

Part of me thinks it would be a good idea, part of me thinks "urgh, more exams". I was basically in education of some form until I was 27, so this last 5 years have been a very welcome break. Not sure how easily i'd get back into it...

What's next, bunch of hipsters?


Time to ebay all my old comics, games, star wars figures and some other random **** I got to flog.

100%. i love my degree, and im so glad i had a 5 year break before i started it.
i have a geological mapping and structures exam, and environmental chemistry to look forward to.

I was so tired last night from the first nights sleep that I slept like a baby. I told them abou it when I checked out and they offered to refund me but I wasn't paying anyway so I wasn't bothered. I'm back in reading in a few weeks and i'll be in a different hotel.

I don't mind students. I never went to uni myself but went and visited all my mates at various unis around the country. I checked out the various student bars and the various student women on offer :sex:

Wow thought mines sounded bad Organisational Change Management, International Marketing, Business Management Challenges but by the 9th May they will be all over.

I'm a light sleeper anyway so all the other noises you get in a big hotel were just as bad as the Jenny. I don't stay in hotels often so it's no major issue. Like I said I slept fine last night.

Alright for some! We get put in the cheapest hotel within a reasonable distance from the client (usually a TravelBodge or similar), and given £25 per day for food. More often than not we end up spending less than £25 and pocketing the rest, or blowing the whole lot in the pub - it's the only way to get anything extra out of this job!

That would be fcn hilarious for the house keeping to find Scott tied up with a man made out of towels and sheets, chocolate/biscuit nipples and a bottle up its **** starfishing on the bed.
