Just wanted to know what you guys think of these lights.

they look ok what year are they for and how much

Seen a Merc with sort of thing. Looked good to me.
I'd be worried how well the dipped and main beam headlights work. So many after market kit tend to be rubbish on this count.

Yeh im currently looking for a pair of aftermarket lights myself, would love to retrofit the OEM Audi xenons but their way out of my budget.

They look very nice! The pics on that link look like they come with xenons aswell..

Ive toyed with the idea of these as I would like to update the front of my car a little without spending moonbeams on a facelift. I have Xenons as it is though so it would feel like a bit of a waste to put el-cheapo lights in place of those.

They popped up a while back on here... When somebody looked on another site they weren't legal for the RHD market.

It says "Approved Product" - What does this even mean? Approved by who?

I think it's just a way of making people think its road legal.

They do look quite nice but be careful...

Personally I'd rather have the OEM xenons than these lights but the cost of retrofitting them is way too much for me.

Yeh I think MOT wise I'd be better off sticking with my current lights.

just another thing, does anyone know of any HID kits that don't blow the wiper motor?

I wouldn't bother with HID kits.

Just got myself a set of Philips Diamond Vision bulbs (5000K) for my car, look really good and give a large light output, almost as good as Xenon's AND you don't get every tom, **** and harry flashing you, which is nice.

I can't get a good pic with my camera, ca't see the light properly in front but this is the light output you get.

Oh and I only have the low beams so far, will be getting high beam this wknd.

Trust me, it's the pic, my camera is pants at night.

The difference is huge compared to standard horrible yellow.

Try some and if you don't like, take them back.

I Agree Diamond vision is the way to go unless you have the money for xenon retrofit. The diamonds have been fitted to my car for 18months now and no probz never even been pulled over by the police.

I was a bit concerned at first as I found numerous suppliers claiming they were not legal in the EU but since have found this is not true. I too have driven past police and have not stopped me and no flashing from others, although found I did need to adjust the beams down slightly.

Yea as said diamond vision all the way, here's a pic I took when I fitted them to compare.

Why would numerous suppliers claim there not legal in the EU? Are they brighter than normal bulbs or is because of the colour light they give off?

Yea there as close to the real thing as your gunna get quality bulb couldn't recommend them enough.

So I guess the cheapest place to get them is of eBay. There's a few on there for £24, is that a good price?
yea that's a decent price think I paid £25 when I got mine, you'll need two sets tho if you plan on doing your main beam aswell.

Lol good luck in the rain

Used mine in the rain many many times, no problems, even in those April showers the other week!

Have you had a bad experience with them in the rain, please explain.

Hi All,
I read on another forum somewhere that inside the light fitting that is shown in the first post there is a silver toogle or 'switch'. Pushing this switch alters the angle direction of the light output so that it will not dazzle other drivers when used on a RHD vehicle. How true this is I don't know, I would like to fit these lights but the thought of dazzling others on the road if you cant change the light direction is putting me off.

You won't need to change anything mate I just took them out of the box poped them in and I've had no problems whatsoever haven't had anyone flashing me either.

Really? That's a bonus then. Have you just put the standard H7's back in or used Xenons?
What is the light output of the tubes and LED's like? Do you have any photo's by any chance?
20 questions or what haha!!

sorry mate I misread your post I thought you where talking about the diamond vision bulbs.

Defo interested in some - i've emailed the chap asking if its easy to swap the bulk height to even it out for LHD.

This can be achieved as a friend was able to do it with some FK automotive ones for his A6.

Will keep you all posted

Really its the light output that Im curious about, aftermarket units tend to have a poor output.

Likewise, I think I might buy these lights and see what the deal is and what the light output and direction is like. If it's not right I'll just ship them back I think.

halogen bulbs can't be compared to HID.

the Diamond Vision will look "cool" with a similar color as HID, but when it comes to light output they are night & day.

if you install a projector headlight I would deffinitely go for HID. (Diamond Vision are not EU legal anyway)
