Is this normal that today I realise my aircon is not working at all? Car is over 12months old and before winter all was fine. Shall I bump to an audi dealer or just go independent?

yeah i could do that but most of the times they were useless with sorting things out for me and its a mission go get there and leave my car for a day.

If your still under warranty, go to Audi.

Be silly to go to a garage and pay to have it fixed, what's the point in warranty if you don't use it!

Kwikfit regas for about £50, and if its not working at the end of there work you dont pay a penny.

Kwikfit seems like a good alternative as Audi will charge me for the regas regardless just have been told and they can book me in for 13th May. Well done Audi for a great service once again:/

Take it to Audi if it's under warranty. If someone fixes it by bodging it then Audi won't want to know if you take it back to them to sort.

So let me get this straight.. Anyone could walk in if they suspected their system was leaking but couldn't prove it unless they were lising gas... Go to kwikfit, it doesnt refill and you've basically diagnosed a leak/other fault without paying! Nice!

Then go to Audi and get it repaired for free!

Surely Audi would repair it if it had a leak or broken pipe under warranty and yes, he would have to pay to get it re-gassed.

Leaks from a rubber seal could be common, and if you dont use your aircon for 30 mins one a month it could cause the seals to go hard and fail iirc. Unlikely to be covered on warrenty, worth a shot though. personally id just try a kwikfit regas or even a DIY kit from halfords might be worth a shot.

Yeah got good friend of mine who owns a garage and he'll have a look for me and do regas for fraction of the price audi charges.
