It will be easier to carry due to the lightness and with it being balanced you'll be able to carry it on your head or with one hand without fear of it falling off cause it's not balanced.

TT Bushes have turned up! Ordered them Sunday night

So like Westy said faster revs. Less vibration sounds good too, make the most out of the gear box mount!
Got the text of Ben today to say he has picked up the flywheel and that its now so small "like a metro one" were his exact words!

If a lot lighter it'll rattle, revs will drop faster between gear changes and you'll need more revs to pull away. You'll get used to it though and it'll be sweet lol.

I did get the warning that I will stall a lot too! I trust bens work and im sure he would get it lightened to what he thinks to maximise its potential.

I didn't know that it would drop the revs quicker, learn something new everyday

I understand now the revs will go up quicker, but i would have thought being lighter flywheel I would think it would keep spinning from the momentum meaning it would take longer to slow down. That was just my thinking... How wrong I am!!!

Neither can I mate. I will take your advice and launch 4k everywhere (by the sounds of it I will have to or I will stall)
Cover is from a guy in fb where he makes then. If you want one let me know and I will pm you his price

Did you fit the brake lines yet? It was always my first upgrade on my 'old' cars and make a hell of a difference, but on a 'new' (all my cars have been pre 1990 before my A3) car I wonder what they are like?

Only ordered brake lines yesterday, should get them early next week. I have heard they make a difference so looking forward to it!

To earn that title you must first defend the launch king title

Thanks Westy you have a way with words. Better source a gear box as back up then haha

when mine is done il happily film some 5 and 6k launches. just to see what happens

Nothing apart from take off. I did a 5k launch on standard clutch the other week. Thankfully it wasnt as brutal as it was a bit damp and span up. I`d stick the gopro on and film it in the dry but i fear it`d smell horrible lol.

Thanks to Ben for sourcing, balancing, lightening the flywheel and also providing me with pics!
All ready to go on:

2 days to go!

I am in no way clued up on flywheels, but credit goes to Ben so sorting it out. From what people have told me this FW will be a great addition. Looking forward to tomorrow to have it fitted.

The valeo must work! The clutch slip is just getting worse and worse (starts at 2500 rpm) so in need of an upgrade

I've been running valeo solid flywheel conversion for about 2 years problem free mate
