So,

after fitting some lovely 19" ttrs wheels and a coilovers kit, the wheels are scraping my arches like mad, even at the highest adjustment, alas iv gotta bite the bullet and go back to my 18's and that way, hopefully the coilover kit will be fine,

the 19s were 235/35/19 and my 18s will be 225/40/18 so will fit like standards,

these are the rims I'm gunna go for to put on my black S3 replica sportback, what do y'all think?

If anyone's interested my 19s are for sale, check the classified section, these are them, (2 weeks old with tyres)

As said its your tires. Run a 215/35/19 and they will not rub.

That's the tire I run and it has a bit of stretch but its not stupid. Yes it affects performance but if that was an issue I wouldnt be using 19s in the first place.

ok, so let me get my head round this, if I drop to a 215 tyre, I shouldn't have an issue with any arch rubbing whilst running be coilovers?

In theory you should be fine but it all depends on how low you want to go. I have rolled arches but I don't think they would have rubbed anyway.

im not decking it just want it sat maybe 30mm drop, just these ****** rims scrape my arches, it's not the plastic arch it's the inner arch liner is catches....It worries me trying a 215 stretch, but could image it looks amazing tho.

Also does it not matter the rim being 8 or 8.5 inches wide? Compared to the standard 7.5 18s

The ttrs wheels should bee 255/35 19 standard so are they defiantly RS wheels not just a black edition set?
