Hi Mark, nothing special compared to yours....Anyway A3 2.0 TDI S-Line , glacier white, Pan roof, privacy glass, Cruise control, de-baged, comfort pack, rear parking sensors , acoustic glass and a black band across the top of the windscreen but that might be part of the comfort pack....I wished I'd ordered key-less entry and folding mirrors, but me being a lazy sod didn't look at the brochure properly...And anyway I was pushing my luck getting a new car anyway as we went to look at a 1.6 petrol on a 61 plate lol

Nothing special, sounds nice to me mate. I asked about the spec as I wondered if any of my options would hold things up, as I believe they can sometimes. We will see, I am expecting I bit more info next week as the logistics man will be back in the dealership next week, I am told he is the man in the know.

Just heard from the dealer. Ordered Sport Sportback 2.0 Tdi on the 30th March confirmed build date week 24 anticipated del first week July

Received an email from the dealer today, my build week has come forward from 26 to 21. Good news but why is the pessimist in me waiting for it to start slipping the other way.
S-line, Glacier white, comfort pack, tech pack, b&o, susp deselect, privacy glass. Added pan roof to the order 2 weeks ago.
nice spec, obviously no delay for higher specked cars like I thought there might be.

Dealer put your order through on 11th March 2013 and your build week is 21 (week comm 20th May).
I thought these cars were taking up to 6 months to deliver or have I missed something ?
My order was placed on the 25th Feb by Audi although I thought it was a week earlier.
I was informed last week that build week 18 is showing and if it stays at this, delivery will be towards the mid/end of May.
I am hopeful that delivery may be earlier as I have not revisited options etc... I find out on thursday if build week 18 still stands. It was originally a mid June delivery date which suggests improving timeframes.

There is some hope then. I would love to have it before the end of June, I can then take it on a nice long run into France. And opps it was a sport not an SE.
You've read correctly. Original build week I was given was week 27 (I was given this when I received confirmation the car had been ordered), I spoke to dealer to amend the order a couple of weeks ago and he told me then that it had moved forward a week to 26. Then yesterday had email saying it's now week 21.
Ordered my SB 2nd week of Jan - got confirmation of build week 18 today and delivery 1st week of June...

I ordered my sb end of march, and spoke to the dealer today asking to add options (SD sat nav and hill assist). No build date was given, but he thought an August delivery. I don't know whether the amended order altered the delivery date.

It can depend on the build slots allocated to your dealer.
Some dealer groups order cars for stock, then if a customer comes in they change the order in progress to the customer's spec which speeds things up.

Got an email from my dealer today after chasing up. Ordered 14th March, spec below, build in July, no exact week, but confirmed MY2014 so free DAB
and available some time in August but as on holiday for most of the month asked for 1st September collection, to be honest dealer warned likely to be August when I ordered.........one month down, 4.5 to go!!!!!!!

Good result about the dab radio! Am pleased for you. I asked my dealer about when the dab would be standard, but he couldn't give a definitive answer. From what you are saying, it sounds like my car may also be a MY 2014
Audi website news section says MY2014 is build week 22 onwards, which is mid June so yours looks like free DAB as well, there is another thread with more on this....suggest you confirm with your dealer,...... Got my confirmation in an email so if no free DAB when I collect I know it's been sitting in transit or at Sheerness or wherever for a while and will get free retrofit.
Ah right, is this something I should check on too ??? To see if I get free DAB with a build date of week 22 as mine is ???

This afternoon recieved a phone call saying we're looking at September. I asked for more depth as to why and I was told the same sentence three times "I don't know, I can't do anything about it, I'm sorry"
Can someone give us a steer here on whether the build time is longer than normal and whether we're being messed around?

Think dealer has not been fully open with you, a lot of dealers declare a typical 12 week delivery time to encourage you to sign up and not get put off by long build time. But, the dealer would have known build times were closer to 5+ months when you ordered as car was officially launched mid march and was voted car of the year so demand was high. I spoke to 2 dealers and a broker and they all said 5 months and that was a week before official launch, but a third dealer said 3 months.......he was a bit of a spiv and did not get my business anyway and offered rubbish discount and laughable px etc........what you have now is a realistic build date
Lease company ordered the car today, got an estimated stock date of 9/9/2013, wonder how much that'll slip...

My Sportback S-line 2.0 TDI + options was ordered 12th Feb, built two weeks ago, shipped last week, UK port (presumably Grimsby) this week, chose the reg yesterday and so apparently it'll be a few days to a couple of weeks, subject to how busy they are after a March backlog.
That's order to delivery in 9-11 weeks, depending on what happens next.
Really looking forward to it now!

I am quite surprised at the differences in the build and delivery dates between the orders from the many Audi branches.

I spoke with Audi Ridgeway last thursday regarding my order.
The Audi rep said that somebody had amended an order for something that would be considered minor and the customers build date was put back 6-8 weeks.
I am seeing other posts in here that show order to delivery dates being lightning fast for similar spec to myself. You lucky sods!!!! I feel for those that placed orders well before myself and still have not had any dates confirmed.
Has anybody dealt with Audi Ridgeway before? First time for me. I used them because of the reasonable discount negotiated.

Just in case it helps I Ordered my 2.0TDI SE in Brilliant Red on 14th January and the dealer said I would be getting SD sat nav "thrown in" as I had ordered before end of Feb. He couldnt however, give me an exact delivery datebut has kept me informed with regular emails. Just emailed yesterday to confirm that the car will be at the showroom on Friday the 10th May!!! so not too much of a wait. I went for standard spec as to be honest there is an awful lot in there for £23k anyway IMO and also because my dealer Preston Audi stated that the more options the further down the pecking order your car gets. Also stated that colours not seen as being popular , eg white, red , black etc will result in yet more delays.
