As above is anyone running a large bore downpipe and decat on there S3 ? Are they super loud ? And what happens with the lambda sensors ?

Am sure there are, I had a de-cat on my TT - was a pain at MoT time, until I got introduced to a friendly MoT man!

You usually need a remap that removes the error you get when your cat fails.

Yeh suppose that's the down side to a decat , mot time . Would there be much difference in performance between decat and sports cat if car was at stage 2 ?

So just go back in and no faults . Obv would need mapping to suit

Yep. Sounds great and not too loud. Unless you hit the gass pedal hard.

Yes.

It's not too loud unless you have either a backbox delete,or centre box( non-resonated) exhaust.

P.S.....you don't need a decat until you're at Stg3 or above.

Cool . I am not wanting huge power like your car Alex just somthing with a nice amount of poke lol . So no higher than stage 2+ . So would a sports cat be fine

I've got milltek resonated with decat and it is only a touch louder than standard, I had the non res before and I didn't like it, not so much really loud but very boomy

Nope when I do the exhaust it will be done all the way to the turbo and all at once .

Yerh that's what I don't want booming. Ah that's what I was thinking of res with decat . But will probs just go sports cat and non res

Its a shame the standard exhaust wasn't stainless steel as I think it makes a nice sound lol

Stock exhaust sounds OK,but it's quite restrictive.

I've just sold a milltek non res cat back you could have had that and just bought a downpipe to go with it, but I never thought
