Picked the car up last night, thought I'd run a full scan before any tinkering (would have taken my laptop and cable with me to the dealer if I'd known before 4.34pm that it was going to be ready to pick up. Results are below, removed for controllers with no error codes. Rather more errors than expected for a car just picked up from the dealer (Fontain).

Car had the mechatonric unit replaced yesterday, which may have caused some of the codes, but even after clearing and re-scanning I get a load of 'malfunctions', but not many fault codes in the module

All codes have been generated at one of two times....... 11/04/13 at approx 11:00, and today at around 16:00.... and mention either no signal or open circuit etc.

Battery problem?? Dodgy VCDS cable?? ECU throwing a tantrum??

Have you tried clearing the faults to see if they return? Save them first though.
 
Seems okay to me if the mechatronic unit has been replaced that would explain the Auto Trans faults and also the ECU has been out at some point... maybe a remap?

You also have a retrofitted sat nav which hasn't been coded properly.
 
Thanks guys - think they just forgot to clear the codes when they finished the gearbox and remap. Am I correct to think that if at the high level where the controller reports 'Malfunction 0010' , but there is no underlying fault code that this is just the car 'remembering' the fault? Took it for a quick spin down the road and re-scanned - all faults cleared apart from the Nav/Radio (phew!). I thought the satnav was factory fit, however from another thread I found out it might be the Mk2 version which could mean it was a retrofit upgrade (car is a Dec 2008, facelift). Coding is 0205755
 
Based on my coding of 0205755 it looks correct, car has BOSE, Bluetooth Phone, AMI, MFSW. Although I can’t see an option for BOSE or AMI?

100% sure that this is a MK2 radio (193) but it doesn´t came from factory with car, was after retrofitted (i think that the radio is from late 2010 or 2011)...

You can have same coding in the car and don't have the hardware ...

You say, in another post, that you have rear and front parking sensors but the modulo doesn't appear on the log you posted, to put the OPS working you need factory parking sensors installed (they can be retrofitted, i have done it)..

Should I change 0xx5xxx to 9 for 'Sound System' as I have the BOSE?

About the bose system i can't help you...
 
If it helps to confirm, my coding (MY11 RNSE MK2 193 G) Bose, AMI, MFSW, Bluetooth, is 0209725

Initially it was coded to look for a cd changer ( not fitted) so I had to take -2 off the last digit. ( Originaly was 0209727)
I coded it under radio, and it automatically updated Navigation coding to the same.





 
Thanks. Going to check the wiring was modified when retrofitting the rns-e and update from 5 to 9.
