Wow, that is awesome looking. Just the right colour. :) x

Cheers mate !!!!

time to contact my Dealer and find out if they are gonna have one of these S3's !!!

I really don't like that. Proportions look all wrong. I've had a few beers mind so it might be my eyes :)

TBH its very marmite for me atm, as per Judder above, it looks weird at angles as though it shouldn't be as one as such, not sold on this & tbh I have been seeing more mk7's & I think they've got the Golf brand back on track now, mk4 was horrible, mk5 was great but lacked something internally, 6 was a mk5.5 but the 7 has some stunning lines.

However, I saw an A3 8V sline other day on the road & it looked great, time will tell.

OT. Judder, love your sig lmao, that was the most classic unintentional line ever made by me lol.

I dont like the seats the older ones look far better

Love the wheels and dials not keen on the seats

what made the blue edge it over the red in you op mate ?

I just seem to think the blue sits better on the shape of the car.
Not so in your face, probably in the flesh it would be a close match.

P.S
Bit strange considering I have a red A3 myself haha

The wheels are gret but really need to be 19's IMO.

I agree. They look a little small for a performance car.

I also can't get my head around quad pipes for a 4-pot motor. Seems OTT to me. I'd have preferred two pipes.

I feel sick.

What have they done to the desirable motor that once lived?????

Same pipes as tts and same 4 pot !

I know - still feels a little OTT to me though. Better if they saved the quad pipes for V6 models upwards. The beauty of the S3 was always its subtlety. I always liked the fact it wasn't all dressed up for show like the Ford, Vauxhall and Renault alternatives.

Whatever next.... bonnet scoops?

Hope they do a better job of the RS3...

I really like the 8V but I just haven't warmed to the S3 photo's I have seen.

I also agree on the twin split pipes, I'm hoping for a single split oval on the 8V RS3!

I am 55 and well past Red stitching and inserts etc so that choice of trim would not be for me but of course you pays your money and takes your choice . I would prefer to SB too , I like he lines better than the 3dr but again personnel choice

The Quad pipes are now standard on all Audi S cars.

IMO it is still one of the more restrained / stylish less OTT / in ya face cars in its class.
The Renaults / Fords / Vauxhalls etc all tend to have Halfrauds-esque body kit bolt on bits and are rather loud whereas the S3 looks purposeful without the need to shout about it, which suits some people myself include.

19's would have been a nice option but 18's to give the best ride IMO and I have had 19's on my last two cars and love the bi-colour design of alloys in the pics.

lol at this.

mate I'm 23 but I'm not keen on them seats or quad exhausts ! Bit chavvy / new sti scooby.

love the 8v but not keen on s3 variant. Maybe better in black on black with graphite wheels ???? Never been a fan of red

i agree hence would opt for the super sports seats with diamond quilting with black leather and white contrasting stitching ... Look awesome.

I Like the exhausts but apart from that I am very unmoved. Come on Audi this is the S3, surely it's gotta look better than this, doesn't look that different to the S-Line.

Sorry, just my opinion

Mark

Good news indeed, S3's are slowly spreading around the showrooms across the country!

Autoexpress mag are testing one on tuesday so very soon we should hear some driving feedback too.

Those seats are the same as the ones I saw in the S3 at Geneva Motor Show, they are the audi design or exclusive option, not standard, quite costly too. I would like to see a standard S3 seat in leather/alcantra.

As said above, I'm not totally sold on this...

i definitely prefer the look of the 8Ps, maybe it's a grower but at the minute, I wouldn't order one.

That's what I always loved about the S3. Understated, low key, non-shouty. The engine was superb. I just hope they've really improved the ride quality to the same standard as the Golf GTi. Considering what they've achieved with the standard 8V, I'm quietly excited.

It's never gonna appeal to everyone of course and I was not 100% initially.
However, having seen an s line recently up close that was enough to convince me.

oh and those seats with red inserts they are the exclusive and most dearest option ironically.
the standard seats with plain leather / alcantara do look better also IMO.

I'm being patient and hoping this is a grower

I think it's the adaptive cruise control camera.

I agree ... The quad exhausts look good and are more reflective of the 'S' cars status.

Sounds like they help produce a great sound too !

Have them on my TTS and they look good and not OTT or Halfords-esque at all.
