I clean the cars pretty much weekly but mostly just a wash and dry.

I use the clay bar to remove any surface imperfections, tar etc as and when needed - just run your hand over the car, any areas that aren't perfectly smooth use the clay:

Then the HD paint cleanser to make the surface ready for the wax, again only if the area has some imperfection or has lost beading:

It's difficult to say exactly how often, if just road use maybe every 3 months but after a track day the excess rubber and tar flying about usually means a full clean is required.

As I said earlier more expensive products are available but for me these do the job at a reasonable price. For me it's good enough and I enjot the process which is probably the main point.

Great idea, I'll give you a whole £5 if you'll do mine as well ;)

Alternatively you could bring some of this and a few microfibre cloths in the boot:

Going back to day 7 i couldn't resist passing up the chance to post a pic of 7 of 9. (Beautiful lines). I did have an alternate 7 of 9 pic to use but thought it may be to risque for the forum, but after reading recent posts i think it should be ok. :wub:

Fully agree Neil! I intend this to be a day, and few beers the night before where possible, of petrolhead nirvana with way to much talk about driving, BHP, tyres, brakes, best roads and way to many car related pictures. I especially hoping to see some 'hands in the bar' - which is pilot speak for when you pretend to be flying a plane to recount a story of derring-do after the event.

For me it's all about the RS3!
