Hi Guys,

My S3 Sportback brake discs need replacing as look corroded. I've not increased the power of the car and was not sure what you guys recommend?

The discs are visible through my wheels so would be nice to have brakes that do not go orange all the time (like they do at the moment) and possibly vented / drilled. Durability is more important to me over looks though. I'd also like pads that gives minimal brake dust and a setup that won't squeak either.

Do I need to worry about changing anything when changing brakes (e.g. brake fluuid)? Have done a search but it mainly brings up posts about users upgrading to big brake kits. Is there anyone you recommend in the Leeds area to fit them too?

Thanks

Im also interested in a recommended/tested drilled/grooved disc that is a good replacement. Possible more lightweight.

The same style as the RS3 discs would be nice

for roaduse ebc drilled and grooved and ebc yellowstuff pads work well. Cheaper than OEM too. If your changing yourseld get some DOT4 brake fluid

That top coat? Just a protective layer. Wears quickly so its all normal metallic chrome colour

brembo only do original replacments for the S3 not the brembo sports drilled discs. atleast they didnt when I wasnted some so got the EBCs instead

Pagid discs are painted, after a few applications of the brakes
it wears off the service area of the disc leaving the non service
area still painted in natural finish, my last set of these resisted rusting
for about a year and a half untilI sold the car. ECP sell them I think in 345
and 310 mm Look for discount codes online.

According to the website yellow stuff have a lot of brake dust. Is that correct? Apparently red stuff have less dust but can squeak when cold! Confusing.

i've been running Yellowstuff for over a year and am happy with them.
The bake dust is certainly less than OEM and I don't get any squealing.
