Audi Rs3 Replica

why copy it then? kinda weirded out by you're logic....... just don't buy any stolen bucket seats and we're good.
going for a drive in mine, guess you'll be washing and parking you're motor somewhere.

reason it was copied was because I'd originally had the audi A3 and didn't see any need to change it for another car as like I said its used as a daily run about, I'm guessing I get more use out of mine than yours?? If you drive yours all day every day I take my hat off to you as for 1 the amount of fuel you will spend and 2nd a very high mileage Rs3 in a few year isn't going to be so good is it? Lol. I'm sure you'll enjoy your spin just as much as I do.

All jokes aside, have a nice day buddy and we will all agree that it is nice to see a genuine Audi Rs out on our roads.

cool...... just don't hate on the 'real' thing. peace

I think you've done a good job there Shades. There will always be the minority that disagree with what you've done but hey its your car and it looks good. Well done buddy!! Top job

I got to say t looks fantastic mate. It's your car and as far as I'm aware it's a free country. So do what you want

I'm just glad Robbiemac didn't buy an S3 or his post count would be sky high.
Good work Shades.

 This guy is so mad that you have copied his car, what a ridiculous issue to have.

I think you've done a great job mate, ignore the rude comments and enjoy your hard work.

Car looks stunning mate!!! Love it, I personally wouldn't purchase an rs3 for that money, would rather an s5 or (I may get slated for this lol) bmw 335i with a jb4 tuning box on it

Shades I will compliment you on the effort you've put in there, that is top quality work and good to read it's all genuine parts too.

Each to their own on the whole replica thing, I'll be honest like Robbiemac I don't really get it, I'd rather save my pennies and have the real deal but that's because I value the performance over the look - as an ex Evo IX owner that had to be the case! Each of us has different priorities so fair play to you on creating something you enjoy that really does look right and would fool 99% of people.

Hopefully you'll take this as tongue in cheek fun as intended but don't forget to fit this button too :)

Must say im really not a fan of replicas. Don't see the point of disappointing people that might think you have one. I think it would be better without the RS3 badges, then its not pretending to handle and accelerate in a way that it can't

Looks nice, and top effort using genuine parts, will have cost and arm and a leg in itself.

I'm less of a fan of the Sportback, prefer the good old three door, and was disapointed to see that the RS3 never came in three door guise. One of the reasons I'm considering the Xclusive Customz kit like Kallum, though I'd be more tempted to badge it Quattro and leave it at that. With a performance exhaust and map it will at least come close to sounding like a genuine one too :)

I don't think people are reading this thread correctly, its a daily!!!!!!!! looks mental mate!!

S3's especially Stage 2/2+ are too much of a hooligans car Im led to believe (trouble-makers we are)........its like the Gixxer 6 of the bike world........Oh and I had 2 of them aswell.:moa:

yawn.........:salute:

Car looks wicked Shades.
I can see it from both sides of the argument as well.
it's obviously going to offend the perfectionists, especially real RS owners, but on the other hand it's you that drives it every day.
IMHO, I would have removed the RS badges, coz its still an evil looking beast without them, and maybe get the haters off your back.
at least its not a Pug 205 with a nasty bolt on body kit!!!

I think it looks cool. Just my opinion.

Nice daily, I wonder why you're so conscious of a 'Daily' driver? R8 for the weekend, we got pics?

also, I really don't understand how the RS3 doesn't look like a 30k-40k. It screams 'I have a good job and this is my car'.

Do we know you by the alias of the 'Replica man?! :)

What are you trying to say!

Like many here,I'm not a fan of the replica scene, but I can appreciate the work that goes into it,and the really important thing is the pleasure derived from building and driving it.

Respect for going ahead and making a nice looking Replica, I'm planning on going for the Xclusive Customz kit when they release a 5 door version in about 3 or 4 weeks, I have a full S3 rep right now on a A3 sportback 2006. May I ask, what year is your A3? And bar the bumpers skirts and wings, was it just a new facelift bonnet you needed (if your A3 wasn't already) and how much did u pay to get the full set up on the lights if u don't mind me asking?

Thanks, and again nice ride dude.

Hi kallum my a3 is based on a 2008 model so just like yours pre-facelift, so as you can imagine along with wings, bumper, bonnet, lights etc there was front panel, bumper bar, hinges and a few other bits and bobs. Headlights worked out expensive in the end as I bought genuine new ones never fitted off eBay for £500, stated in advert that they come with bulbs and ballast units but when they arrived they were actually after market bulbs and ballasts so obviously cost me a few hundred pound more to replace these items, also had to buy adapters to connect new wiring plug to old plug, fortunate for myself the extra wire on each adapter fitted straight into my module, apparently there's different types some compartable others not?? Although my lights are programmed correctly, I hope? I do have a little problem... after a couple of minutes my dip lights knock off and i have to turn them back on manually unless there on auto, they will then flick back on straight away. This is the only issue I have with this car at the moment.

I got another dislike from Robbiemac....:applaus: coz he didnt like my comment. :sob: Thats just made my day.

Alex I was trying to get over that who cares if its a replica......it looks the part and people like it even S3 owners. From previous comments and posts on other sections it seems a minority of RS3 owners like to think of themselves above everyone else....far from it.

I think the majority of S3 owners - in fact any car owner could go out if they wanted to and buy an RS3..........£40K........ no problem. My car is a daily drive and cheap enough to run. The RS3 is a nice car and is probably the same but some folk like the 2.0 litre turbo-charged engine and the thrills it gives. Stage 2/2+ 330-350bhp no problem. Some people just need to chill out as their car aint as special as they think it is.

you say front panel? Can u explain? As for bumper bar mines shaved to fit S3 bumper already.

Shades -RS the one thing you dont have that a real RS3 has is Brake Squeal!!! lol
Does sound a bit like some owners are Snobs to me . Oh and when the OP gets his R8 who will look like the poor(er) relation then?

The truth hurts though mate and obviously Im not the only one who thinks like this. Could never reveal what I've been taught and what I've learned in the military.........that's top secret.

top secret........ ha ha ha ha at least you're funny,
don't know pal, you give a lot away most of the time.......... still holding a grudge about the RS3 meet? as usual this topic has been de-railed, perish the thought that someone has an alternative opinion. Left things on good terms with Shades but I guess you've been waiting for ages to have a pop..... fair do's it is an open forum and let's keep it that way........

Just stick a budgie cage in the passenger seat for that authentic RS 'squeak'.

A pop.....thats not a pop mate and I dont hold grudges.....life is too short and I have better things to do. The RS3 meet has been and gone so no sleep lost over it. It would of been nice though to see them all together but you made your thoughts clear on this which I thought was a little strange but hey.....your RS3 train set and all. Will leave it at that and no we cant meet up for tea and biccies.....lol
