What are the chances of them both packing up surly there not on one fuse or relay?
Any thoughts or even better expert knowledge?

Thanks

Should be a fuse for them both? Check the fuses.

Right first these heated seats haven't worked since I got the car last August!
Heated seat fuse position 44, NO FUSE and NO FUSE HOLDER!! In that position!
I do however have leather recaros and the 0-6 roll switches on the dash!
I just called my local Audi dealer who checked the car out by chassis number and tell me - Ming blue with leather recaros form the factory!
Why is there no fuse holder for position 44 heated seats I ask?

There answer - I couldn't tell you!

I'm now miffed as to why I would have leather the roll switches but no heated seats!

Was it a weird option?

Every S3 had either full leather Recaro's or part alacanta/leather and also made by Recaro.

The heated seats was an option the owner could select at new for either of the above Recaros

Maybe the car was produced without heated seats and someone has fitted in the controls and not got round to wiring it all up?

I remember seeing a thread on here not so long ago where someone had an S3 without the 0-6 options on the dash but after further investigation it turned out the seats already had the heating elements in them! So last I read they were looking to wire it all up and get the controls in.

I'd recommend having a deeper dig using search as I'm certain people posted pictures or described where you can see if the seats have the heating elements in them as there should be a plug underneath.

Well that explains my cold bum!
There are no heating elements in the seats, it just seems a bit un-Audi of Audi to put two redundant totally useless seat controls in the middle of the dash!

Maybe I can retro fit some ejector seats!

Well, whats more likely....

Audi have fitted buttons to your car that don't work and have never worked OR a previous owner has fitted the climate control unit with the buttons as theirs probably packed up, with the mind to fit the seats at a later date.

:icon_thumright:I'll let you ponder that one.

Audi definitely, those stupid b@stards!

:jester:

got me thinking now as i dont have heated seats but maybe i have elements i had a quick look but couldnt see anything for the black cloth where on the seat are the connectors?

From memory on my drivers side seat the plugs are located on the side which is nearest the centre of the car and towards the middle og the seat. It is possible to check without removing the seat, remove the plastic that covers the bolts for the seat and with a torch and your head at a funny angle you can just about make out if you have a green plug. will give this ago

My seats aren't heated and my bums not cold, where do you live, Alaska???

I have heated seats and there great in the winter, get them sorted

Really? I'd spend some time, effort and money on getting lower and wider !! you sound like a bunch of t***s, heated seats my a**e!!!!

My Audi is about luxury and creature comforts, not some wide *****, low as it can go, with go faster strips that rattles to bits.
You need to go the saxo forum for your needs:beerchug:

That's why I'm here for the banter!.....lol
Each to there own, some like it low and wide, some like it to conform & fit in!
We all know what we personally like!
And some like a warm bum!

fair shout mate, lol ! i don't have stripes by the way and my scraping old A3 is quite comfy, still think the heated seats thing is a tad ott, each to there own though, only having a laugh dude, Down + out

DENIED!

Jacquard cloth was actually the "standard" seat for S3's, with leather and alcantara being a no cost upgrade.

Heated seats were a further £301 and were never standard equipment, as such if you have heated seat switches and no fuse holder for it then somebody has almost certainly tried to retro-fit this.
