Get some good before and after shots.......will be ordering mine asap

These are the 50/40 springs I assume? I'm looking at getting the 30mm springs soon, B5 perches are also waiting to go on too. You fitting them yourself? Let us know how you get on if so and make sure you get some pics up too.

Aye, they are 50/40

Mac,

Out of interest, what's your plan with the pinch bolts?

I really want to fit mine on my drive, but am too scared of the pinch bolt!!!!

Danny I'll be fitting them next week sometime when my mate has some free space at his garage, he will deal with any issues for me but I will be watching and helping fit them so issues arising I will capture and post.

Thanks buddy, I'd appreciate that.

Hope all goes smoothly.

Are you going to get a pair from the dealer? I was going to buy some from eBay but they might be made out of cheese.

If you do go to the dealer, I'd be interested in the part number & price.

Hope it goes well Mac. My mechanic had a nightmare with the pinch bolt and had to send the suspension arm to a specialist to have it drilled out after he attempted to cut it in the middle. Arguably a mistake on his part in the first place...

Fingers crossed yours goes smoothly!

Good news.
when you finally get lowered will seem strange at first but belive me....it will smooth the ride complete transformation -less crashy

I agree. I have a 3.0TDI SE running on Eibach 30mm lowering springs. They've been on about five months now, and I've never regretted the swap. On an S-Line, the improvement will be greater still, due to the God-awful ride on standard S-Line springs.

Ordered my eibachs JUST NOW.................... lets get this thing lowered...lol

I will just sit on my office and hit the button for the sake of £6ish.... as my local Audi dealer is a bit up its own bum.....

Right gents had a nightmare, no problem at all with the pinch bolts, but when tightening the offside pinch bolt the suspension upright snapped, £241+vat :wtf:(tps - £3.92 cheaper than Audi), anyway all done now, so will get some pics at the weekend when the rain stops, in the mean time here's a pic of the offending upright grrrr

A true nightmare for you but I don't understand why it could snap when tightening. I would hazard a guess the mechanic has tried to spread it too wide causing a crack when stripping down and it's popped when tightening.

Oh No....Nightmare................. glad you got it sorted even though it was an expensive thing to sort....

Looking forward to the pics buddy.....

Hardly worth the wait to be honest.... Haha

only joking Mac, looks spot in mate, how does it handle and what's the ride quality like. I'm tempted with Eibachs on the avant but don't want to lose the comfort.

Looks spot on mate......Getting mine on this week i hope.

B7_Fur......everywhere i have read it says the Eibachs IMPROVE the ride comfort as the OEM set up on S-Lines is very crashy........

I have to admit the ride is so much smoother than the s-line springs, handles really well, overall a much better ride all round

The rear seems to still be sitting quite high, or is it the angle of the shot

I thought that too, hoping they may drop a bit more
