I don't see a problem personally, not something I'd go complaining to the dealer about.

I expect you'll find the man. sum. time field was removed (or added, doesn't matter which) because that, and the timezone field, have exactly the same result - manually offsetting your clock from UTC/GPS-time, it's not a setting which enables an automatic daylight savings switch now or in the future. it does one fixed thing - advance the clock by 1 hour when it's 'on' and not when it's 'off'.

Set the timezone to +1 hour and move on.

I'll ask when it's dropped off whether its connected to this BST issue (which incidentally mine also failed to change even when the 'manual option' was set to no.)

Setting the Manual option to On adds the hour.

I must say it wouldn't bother me that much either, you've only got to manually adjust it twice a year.

Popped into the dealer to amuse myself with their befuddled faces. Two people looked at it and both were baffled as to why the option wasn't there.

They're going to look into it but, in the meantime, I've just set it to a GMT+1 timezone.

I would rather set it manually twice a year than take the time and effort to go into the dealers for an investigation into it! Its only a button press or two!

To be fair, if it's an option that should be there then it's worth getting it sorted whilst under warranty. If it turns out that its only available on later software versions then that's fair enough, but at least it won't be faulty then. No harm in asking

It's a lease car anyway and will be going back well before the warranty ends. Like to get it sorted but not the end of the world if they can't figure it out really

The button presses wouldn't bother me, but I'd like to know why my car was 'different' to others with the same software.

Ok well still have an issue - the DAB times are all over the place!

I've set the timezone to GMT+1 to correct the clock and that's fine. The programme times on the DAB were also showing the correct time but, this morning I noticed that the programme times were all an hour ahead of what they should be. I then turned the ignition off and on again to see if it fixed it and then found all the times were two hours ahead!

This is obviously unacceptable and I'll be going back to the dealer to get this sorted. It's obviously a software glitch and something they won't be able to fix but will have to report to Audi but they'd better come up with a solution or update quickly as I don't find it acceptable that the DAB, which is a cost option, can't even show the correct programme times.

Can anyone else with DAB keep an eye on theirs to see if the times are ever wrong at any point?

I have the same issue. I've tried time +1 and DAB goes crazy - on drive to work this morning (hour drive) the DAB times started at correct time and ended up 6 hours out. The DAB seems to keep adjusting as it doesn't understand the time.

I've also tried the other settings - GPS off/on, manual on/off etc and none of them work. Most don't change the DAB to the right time at all while others initially adjust the times on the DAB viewer but then change subsequently while driving. My MMI also crashed last night while I was trying to sort this. Think an MMI update will be needed for this.

I'm sure I've not had this problem, not that I've noticed, also Im certain I've got a box for auto time adjust, have DAB but not tech pack.

Took photo, seems I have both auto time setting via GPS , and the auto summer/winter box.

Mine has now developed the same issue as Vertigo's.

Switched on last evening and noticed the time was 1 hour out. Went into the settings and the manual summertime adjust option is no longer there. The only thing I can think I have done differently was to connect my phone for the first time by AMI lead, but doubt that could have anything to do with it.

Have changed it to set the time manually rather than by GPS, which will be fine as long as it stays fairly accurate.

Interesting - keep an eye on your DAB programme times and let me know if they start going beserk too (only some stations show these - the main BBC stations do). Mine's going in next Tuesday for more head-scratching.

Well the car went in today. Incidentally, to add to the other symptoms, the other day I noticed the time was back on GMT and, when I checked, I found that the timezone had reverted to GMT of its own accord!

They called this afternoon to say it was all sorted. Apparently the MMI needed "recalibrating", whatever that means, but once done the summertime option reappeared and they'd then enabled this and all was well.

Collected the car and checked and yes indeed, the timezone was set to GMT and the summertime option was enabled and it was showing the correct time - great! What wasn't so great was that the programme times on the DAB were all on GMT, so an hour behind what they should be!

Went straight back in and mentioned this to them. Whilst I appreciate that these issues aren't really anything the dealer can solve themselves as I suspect it's a problem with the software and only Audi can sort that out, I wasn't impressed that they'd not even noticed the DAB times were wrong and had claimed it was all sorted.

They're going to investigate further with Audi but I'm not letting this one drop and I will be demanding a prompt fix, even if this requires Audi to produce a software update. A car which can't keep the right time or a DAB radio which can't display the correct programme times is simply unacceptable.
