Thanks spooky,those were taken about 6 years ago iirc.
The last one is a moorhen.

Borrowed link from RSPB site.
They were taken at a local country park,Drumpellier,near Coatbridge.

Nice one spooky. We have a pair of buzzards nesting nearby, but can't get within about 500 yards of them when out with my camera. Went outside yesterday afternoon and one was being attacked by a crow, and it was literally about 50 feet above my head (and no flaming camera).

No SteamShip that photo was taken in Wales but you maybe right about that plant

It is a honey bee, they don't sting you. In fact Bees only sting you if they are in deep trouble.

Now if it were a wasp, I wouldn't get that close...........

Sort of. I was just doing the gardening and noticed a whole load of bees with big sacks of honey and quickly took some pics.

Fascinating. One of the bees could hardly fly it had so much honey lol
