Well we all know and love plasti dip :icon_thumright:

It seems thats its dissapearing very quickly, I bought a can for around £14 and now there are even cans on ebay bid upto £26 for 400ml!

I know its an american product but according to dipyourcar.com cans in america (400ml) are around $6.80 thats about £4.50 to us.
Now it seems that its rare over here due to the strict laws with airmail; no flammable liquids or gasses.

There are some alternatives iv found such as CAR WRAP PLASTI C DIP WHITE PLASTIC / RUBBER PAINT SPRAY- 400ml | eBay

Now to me it looks like a home brewed product, im not saying it will be bad. Simply it looks cheap and doesnt look like it would please me.
If you read F.A.Q's at bottom there are ALMOST the same as plasti dips which either means its basically the same product or theyve ripped it off.

Surely there must be a way we can get some of this in the Uk without paying the crazy prices for a can.

Anyone have any ideas?

Can we not buy some from the US?

Are Plasti-dip UK out of stock again?

Dan

The black spray cans always run out of stock and what you get for the price does not make it worth it really.
That's why I buy it in 5 litre containers and happy to spray for anyone with donations to the stock. :)

I don't think PD in the uk will go any where.
It just takes ages for us to get any cause its all comes over via boats.

The EU also gets different dip to the US people because of our laws.
I've read that our dip is longer lasting than the US as well.

Its understandable to be honest, its a crazy price for paint, yes its good but id rather just deal without it.
As said its all about these laws which is silly... they let troops fly with ammo, rockets, flares and yet we cant sent flammable liquids.

id love to buy in big containers but i dont want to spray that much hah, plus i dont have the spray gun or time/money to do it.
hopefully this uk website selling there own "uk made" product wil get back to me soon, £8 a can seems ideal to me, plus a few more colour choices.

Last time I ordered, I called PD UK to ask when their next stock is due.

Anybody asked the question?

It hasn't, I got some a month or so ago.

As soon as they get it, it sells out within a couple of days.

You can pre-order too, which is probably why it sells out so quick.

Ordered two cans from them on 26th March. Order despatched morning of the 29th. Now the 4th April and still waiting, although it's coming to Northern Ireland. Bought it for interior mods, and if it does the job, will be ordering more for exterior mods.

It's about 25 - 30quid a can in Swedenshire !...Thankfully my local graphics company buy in bulk and I have been getting them for ( 200 sek ) 20 quid a pop! Did my badges today at my first attempt. Think it turned out ok....

Cheers
