Standard S-Line extras

Hi all B8 members,

A family member will soon be selling their 2010 S-line A4,

its a lovely car well cared for and low milage and I'm thinking of purchasing.

I currently am driving a 2004 A4 130bhp 1.9 tdi, would I notice much of a difference going to a 2.0 tdi 143 bhp car?

also what extras have all the s-line cars as standard?

s lines dont come with any extras as standard ,they have different bumpers ,side skirts ,sports lowered suspension and a sports steering wheel ,all other bits are extras at ordering as other a4 models , my se is better specced up than my mates s line .

thats very interesting to know, I always thought they would have parking sensors and heated seats or a few things over the SE model.

Extras are very important to me :-D

You forgot the S line sports seats, 5 spoke alloys, xenon headlights with LED DRLs and washers, black headlining and chrome exhaust trim which come on the S line as standard equipment over the SE.

Are xenon headlights standard on all S-line A4's ?

would most people agree that a s line car would be more desirable to a SE model?

3 spoke S-Line multi-function steering wheel.
Black headlinging.
Matt brushed aluminium inserts.
Perforated leather gear knob.
Cloth/Leather S-Line seats.

Base S-line spec is base SE spec + extras as mentioned (wheels,Xenons,suspension,LED,bodykit,seats)

However as it was a £2,500 option to have S-line over SE you can see that alot of people will go for an SE as they can then spec what they want. So SE probably end up specced with more (non base) options than S-lines.

if you have the reg of the car AUdi customer services will tell you the exact spec (and service history if its within Audi)

rock hard suspension on the sline, rattling door trims ,less performance compared to the pd engine. But on the plus side those drl's look amazing interior is set out better as well.

I'd also say the B8 is a much more refined drive than the B7, is physically bigger and you notice it with more rear seat space (if not the load area). Personally I find the B8 S-line suspension less crashy than the B7 S-line even on 19s, but everyone has different parameters. I think the longer wheelbase helps.

tbh only drove my nephews b7 . thats lowered on 19's but feels smoother and a more solid feel to it. no idea what springs have been fitted

In early 2010 when I ordered mine new, rear parking sensors and Bluetooth were standard for a limited period of time. I think it was from January to June 2010.

This was over and above standard S-Line spec.

Mine was built in feb 2010 and Audi uk told me about the build spec and told me it came with the Black spec in lieu of parking sensors.
