Will need some new tyres soon as getting some new alloys, if I go 18" I've been looking at the Kenda KR20 tyres, reviews on the net seem to say they're pretty good for budgets,
just wondered if anyone has any experience with these? Good or bad?
I'm hoping they're not too noisy which is one of my main concerns....

Cheers Paul

It has been covered so many times on this forum...

What makes you say that Corey?

Really!?
i have tried searching and only a handful of threads were bought up? Only a few of which even mentioned the Kendas...
some were old threads too...

Cheers Paul

Our family run a tyre/exhaust garage and the only budget budget we sell is Nankang but I wouldnt put any budgets on s car a valued.

Falken are generally the cheapest ones I'd use.

Fair enough mate, I may look into the Falken's then.

I've used Nankang's before, they were ok but a little noisy...

Cheers Paul

Just buy decent tyres, you save like 20 quid over a pair of Falkens.

Goodyear Eagle F1 A2s are very good.

Just remember what connects you to the road.

I have just got a set of kumho ku31 and really impressed with them so far (changed from falken to these and to be honest these seem better in the wet).

Ku31's are so soft. Your eat through those so quick. I just ordered 4 X michelin pilot sport 3 this morning. On special at camskill at the moment. £106 each :)

106 each for PS3. Good deal. Just had four put on mine for 180 quid a corner.

Tyre places just live ripping off fleet cars !

Jessssssss, did you not shop about a bit?
PS3 in sstandard 18s we'd be looking at around 115 fitted without a bit of haggling

Doh! Just paid £121 a pop for Goodyear Efficient Grip. Very impressed with them so far though so can't complain, excellent MPG for new tyres! :)

Avon ZZ3's here on my 19" BBS on my S3. Dont have one bad thing to say about them and I will buy them again. Camskill have got them @ £68 per corner for 225/45/18 so you cant grumble.

I had those before Zak and thought they were pretty good. Will let you know how much better the PS3's are! :)

Yes that price was for 18's Ash. :)

My car had Kenda's fitted when I bought it and I can honestly say they were the worst tyres I have ever experienced on a car. On anything but dry roads they were lethal.

I'm considering fitting a set of these to replace the Ice Touring ST's when spring finally arrives; I've heard they are really good in the wet.

A lot of people don't rate them but searching on t'interweb I have found a few posts where other quattro owners swear by them.

The zz3s are great in the wet no complaints here on that. Only thing I have noticed is that my mpg has dropped since putting them in but then again I was running lighter 17" alloys before so I can't blame it all on the tyre...
The zz3 is listed on websites as good grip with a high-ish noise level but that doesn't bother me, heck I drive a diesel lol

Just checked it and the fuel efficiency is rated at F, while noise is at 72bd but grip is rated as B so very good there... Can't really complain from a budget tyre

The ZZ5's are rated E for fuel efficiency, same wet grip as the ZZ3's and slightly quieter at 70db's (identical to the Ice Touring ST's fitted at the momemt). I'm so impressed with the winters that I'm going to get a set of these for the summer.

The local tyre place I use recommends the Falken 914's but they don't come in a Y rating, only the 452's and I don't want them.
