Excited is an understatement! Likewise I hope you get good figures mate. You will see my car there as I have to leave it the week.

I think you're right. They're gonna laugh at it all week, then give it back unmapped. It's only what they'd do with mine, so you're not alone.

Hope it goes well this week though, I bet you're like a kid at Christmas.
 
ahh i see so your map is from scrach odd tough most mappers will do a car from scratch in a few hours i guess its the stock ecus i dont know alot about them tbh
 
its having a custom map. some none generic mods on jays car. so will require time making a map and getting it perfect.
its not going to some cowboy who will load a map and wave bye bye after 30mins logging

niki said it went up to 255-260bhp! But turned it down abit u til I fit wmi as its getting a little too hot.
What can I say but thanks to niki for working his magic. Can't wait to go drive it.

I've just scanned over your build thread jay, never really looked at it before. Shame it was all written in a foreign language, but the pictures were nice.

I'm genuinely excited for you tomorrow. Are you getting public transport there? oohhhhhhh.
 
With the recent modding you've been doing It won't be long before you pick up the lingo.

Pfft, we all know my modding ends at cosmetics. I don't know my maf from my tip. ;) And there's no point modding the dirty 1.9derv...especially if I am considering selling up this summer. I've been looking at the 3.0tdi's, mmmmmmm.

Few have mentioned rods will be fine unless I start going hybrid in the near future.
 
Niki is going to speak to dyno daze to see what they can do. Prawn also mentioned aem and devils own basic kit

It already is, for both of us. Regardless of what anyone says as soon as you go past a well written stage 2 map you're playing the Thunderball on a daily basis. Be it a K03 or a GT28. Once the torque and power band gets ramped up across a further band and lower down the range you re introducing the same risks you do with a K04; 99% of them will never go boom. But that's the whole point of a lottery, you'll get lucky for 364 days a year then lose it all on day 365.

These new K03 maps are getting more and more aggressive , times are moving on and with people making 300lbft+ and knocking on the 250bhp door we can't sit back in safety with our gay little turbos like we did this time last year.

My advice Jay if you are serious about this fit rods; not meth. Then you can enjoy it forever no matter where you take it :)
 
Don't worry Jardo I have also been looking into rods. Just trying to weigh up whether it will be rifle drilled or non

Lol I was strongly gearing towards non rifled, only because its cheaper.

It's a ko3s, it couldn't blow my gran over let alone blow a rod :laugh:

man up and get wmi on there, then Save your cash for another month and fit RD rods.

do it once, do it right.

audi upgrades
2 taxis and 3 trains later I finally have my car back!
Drove like a dream, took me a little while to get used to it again but must say its rapid! Great work again from niki.
Torque steer on this is immense! Boosting to 15psi sounds normal but now that extra 5psi the turbo sounds so different. Louder and slightly more aggressive. Love it!

just liked up a tank o the good stuff, now to have some (sensible) fun
