and that's how it currently stands!

its going to Jabba Sport next week for a dyno run, as with a Milltek stainless exhaust, and stage 1 remap, they claim it has 270 bhp (Jabba sport used to own the car)

any comments/criticisms/ideas welcome!

Welcome to audi-sport.net. Nice cars. Enjoy the forum. :) x

Welcome mate. Id do yourself a favour though and not take it to jabba, take it to somewhere that know how to map cars. Where yu based?

It's already been mapped, just taking it to Jabba for a power run :) based in Peterborough, I'm asst manager of CAS so nice cheap parts! ;)

Welcome dude! Not a fan of saxo's but nice Audi :icon_thumright: I need to get me some wind deflectors.

thank you! Yeah I've grown out of the Saxos , not only for the power, but nice to have a bit of comfort! I could sit in the recaros all day.
i got the team heko wind deflectors from an eBay shop, only about 25 quid, so easy to fit!

Love your s3 btw, always had a soft spot for a yellow one!

Cheers bud, yeah I do love the yellow, makes it easier to find in a car park as well lol. £25? all the ones I find are nearer £40.

Just bought some Lucas ultra clear side repeaters, Mann filter kit, Valentine oil, Bosch Lambda to fit at the weekend :) for some reason I don't think my headlamp washer jets are working..I presume they're automatic when I uses the windscreen washers, but all it seems to be doing is wetting my tyre! Anyone had this problem?

They only come on when the lights are on and after a couple of seconds holding the wiper stalk. If that's what you did and as you say it's wetting your tyre then you may have a leak or the pipe has come off, is it the drivers side that's getting wet?

Ah i see, Yeah drivers side :) I'll have to have a look this weekend and see if the pipes loose..didn't think about the lights having to be on..makes sense I suppose ;)

Yeah I had the car for about a year and just assumed mine didn't work or didn't have any, then I cleaned my screen with the lights on and held the washer down for a few seconds as was trying to get bird poop off and heard this weird noise. Cut a long story short, I found out I did have headlight washers that do work and for some reason I was as ecstatic as a fat kid finding a cake in his pocket that he'd forgotten about.

Literally want to walk out of work, go to my car and try this right now. Thanks for your help!

Going to debadge the rear. .has anyone De wipered theirs? Was a piece of **** on the Saxo but I've got a sneaking suspicion it's not so easy on the Audi..

Ahh nice man. Did you do the rebuild yourself? Looking to get an S3 but will probably have over 100k miles. Would it be worth a paying someone to do it?

Thanks

No, it was Jabba sport as they used to own the car :)

Nothing wrong with 100k+ miles mate, these engines are built to last!

ive dewippered mine (first thing i did) was incredably easy first time too. just unclip the boot trim take the motor out etc and bung it i also bung up the washer hose just incase i acidently hit the rear washer didnt want water building up.

i got a bung of ebay which fits nicley

So did a simple, easy, but very effective mod yesterday! De wiper!

Also stayed behind after work today to try a refurb on my front headlamps.

So before:

20130424_183625.jpg

as you can see, the top was cloudy and rough to touch.

After reading a few guides, decided these were the tools for the job..

20130424_184209.jpg

masked up and got on with it!

20130424_184016.jpg

I used 2000 wet and dry with loads of water until the finish surface was even all the way round the lamp

20130424_184849.jpg

i then gave it a few coats of paint renovator, then removed..then coated with the glass polish And buffed

I'm happy with the result for now, but I reckon with another half an hour I can get them like new!

Looking very good, might have to try cleaning my headlights up, first I've seen someone do it.

Little update:

Bought a new lower console to replace the worn buttons, as mine has the built in Sat nav i couldn't swap the lot so I took them both apart and transferred the new buttons to the original panel :)

To compare

And after:

Also bought replacement red silicon hoses for the engine bay which I'm hoping to fit tonight

20130510_174054.jpg

Intercooler pipes are on the way too :)

Also changed the rear number plate bulbs and tidied up the engine bay ready for the new pipes

25 degrees on the climate control! You'll fry!

Can you share a link to the number plate lights you bought please? I bought some that look identical and they didn't work so I put them in the boot light and they work fine in there. Weird!

Looking good - didn't think I'd like the de-wiper mod but it looks good on a black S3. All you need now is a new coolant bottle and your engine bay will be sweet.
