hi guys, i have been idling for too long, sorry about it.

I am considering swapping my automatic gearbox with a manual one. Has anyone done this before? Help me please with the parts that will be necessary other than the gearbox itself.

My car: 2001 Audi A3 1.8T with AUM engine 150hp, gearbox is 01M-FDC 4 speed automatic. Front wheel drive.

It would be cheaper just to trade your Auto in for a manual in my opinion, that way, you know it all works!
Yeah, it would be cheaper, probably. But the thing is, my 8L is in a really nice condition and I have doubts finding a similar one with manual gearbox in Turkey. Maybe i would just remap my car and keep the gearbox on.

Sorry, didn't realise you was so far away.

Actually, I did find an Octavia with AGU engine and manual gearbox in the scrapyard, engine and gearbox having no damage. Which parts should I gather? I am planning to get the gearbox from it.
