Hi Guys,

After reading some amazing threads on here I thought I would venture onto the Audi website.

I am quite worried to find that the RS3 has DISAPPEARED from the website? Am I missing something substantial here? Have Audi stopped making the RS3? :wtf::sob:

Cheers,

Matt

Yes fella they stopped making the current 8P platform late last year, you may be lucky to find a late production unregistered one with poverty spec on it, or failing that it will be a low miles used one.

No idea on the new platform 8V? will be produced.

HTH...:arco:

That has really surprised me to be honest. I hope they will bring it back, a beautiful looking car!

Doesn't affect me now anyway not in a position to buy one haha, turning 16 in May ;) Got a while to go before I can afford one :( Apprenticeship due to start in September however so with any luck in 5 or so years time living at home on good money, might have the opportunity to buy one.

I would image they would need to bring it back to meet that market? Seeing that the next equivalent is £54,000 (RS4)

There was only 750 made anyway, Once they were gone they were gone!

Its the usual case of end of model equals an RS model........ Dissapointed it was so close to the new model tho!

Is that 750 worldwide? How many came to the UK?

Apparently the new 8V RS3 is scheduled to arrive in 2014; much earlier than previous RS models which usually appear at the end of a products lifecycle.
There is talk of a saloon version as well, although not a manual unfortunately !!

someone please correct me if I'm wrong...

Audi released 500 to the UK initially, they sold like hot cakes so decided to release a further 250.

However they ended up with a fair few cars unsold as the initial release dates were put back a few times. This lead to a fair few cancelled orders as people got pee'd off with waiting.

The extra 250 didn't fly off the shelves as expected.

I'm a manual through and through kinda guy. Wouldn't thank you for any sort of "auto" box...

however

once I'd driven the RS3 with the sport button pressed and "s" in the gearbox I found it just immense!

Every gear I wanted and would have personally selected was just there! Normal overtakes I just select the gear desired with the paddles as per a manual so I've overcome that annoying "lag" on changes. Guess the gearbox is good but not a mind reader lol

On the flip side certainly the manual R32's and RS4 boxes are awful in traffic, very notchy where as this makes town stuff so easy.

So if the new box is as good then it'll do for me!

I believe they bar a handful of new unregsitered now all sold.IIRC there is one at Glasgow, West London and a couple at Stafford but that is about it.

Early 2015 for the 8V RS3 I heard :) My dealer is already primed to give me the call as soon as the book opens!

99.9% sure there are no unregistered cars left I was told mine was one of 6-12 of the last in the country that would be put on a '13' plate. The dealer had a list of 5 people ready to take my car if I didn't turn up and take it.

I know of two only because I know of two people in the process of haggling / buying brand new unregistered vehicles.

I was pretty p*ssed off to hear of the new 2014 date for another model RS3 but realistically they never deliver on time so 2015 seems more likely.

Either way my name will be on the list :)

I was told the Glasgow one was sold, Stafford had no more and West London was pre-registered and that was a few weeks ago?
