Hi,

I have just purchased an A4 B8 3.0tdi quattro sline after driving BMW's for the last 5 years.

The car is fitted with what i beleive are 19" RS4 alloys.

Im looking to widen the stance a little, and i need to know what size spacers can i fit front and rear to improve the appearance and fill the arches, but not encounter any fouling issues?

Thanks in advance for your assistance.

It all depends on the dimensions of the wheels you have on mate. Need to know width and ET. These can be found on the inside of each alloy engraved near where the bolts are.

Surely it's just a case of measuring where the wheels sit now, and where you want them to be?

The difference will be the spacer size you need to use.

Suppose there is that too haha.

I suppose i was being a bit too methodical.

Also have to be careful with tyre clearance.

I assume they are not rubbing now, so the insides are ok.

Brakes are already cleared so they will be ok.

As long as you don't come out any further than flush with the arch, the camber should keep from rubbing on the arch.

That was my thought process anyway.

Yeah but what i mean is if you push them out the tyre could rub on the outside arch due to the tyre wall being too tall. Might need to stretch the tyre like i had to.

I guess you are right, I didn't think about it that much.

On my E39, I made some spacers out of wood (already had longer bolts) as a tester to see if the width I wanted would work.

Wooden spacers, 2 mates in the boot to drop it, job done. Ha ha

Disclaimer - wooden spacers were not driven on!!!!

Haha yeah i wouldnt recommend driving with them on.

When i was young and couldnt afford coilovers i filled my boot with concrete slabs to lower it! Things we do!

hi mate ive got a set of 15mm spacers with bolts for sale for £37 posted ono

Anybody actually got spacers fitted to a car with genuine 19" audi wheels and standard sline suspension, and if so what sizes are people running?

Thanks.

hi mate its 2 and there hubcentric and the bolts are radius hope this helps but id go for 15mm rears and 10mm at the front
