John….. Aarrr! :icon_thumright:

Spooky, I waited ages for the right shot. There was a storm out to sea moving up the channel and I wanted to capture it before it got too dark.
Looking the other way across the port you can see it on the right on the horizon.

This is my home PC desktop. I'm not much of a photographer, so I'm sad to say that this photo of my old B5 2.8 Quattro - taken the day after I bought it, about ten years ago - is still my favourite car picture. It's at Samphire Hoe in Kent.

yes mate, as said in PM but to keep continuity on here - the picture of One Canada Sq, Canary Wharf was taken from the 24th floor of the old Lehman Brothers building last year during a refurb project for JP Morgan that I was involved with.

All my pics have been taken with my iPhone 4S and edited using Snapseed - which I find really quick and easy to use and really brings pictures to life!

the canary wharf picture works great as a background on the iPhone as all the icons one up nicely against it!

thanks for the feedback :)

it is indeed a sparrowhawk mate! it is a male!
i feed the birds so get a lot of gold finches in my garden, which in turn attracts these awesome birds now and again!
no kill was made that day, but i have witnessed them take down wood pigeons which are much bigger than they are lol!

Thanks Chez,
Think we need to start a wildlife thread in the Photo section?

Yes, spooky and chez, get some wildlife pics up for all to enjoy. :) x

Lovely photos, she has that look about her, as if to say... "i want one!" "and i want it in pink!" :icon_thumright:

You'd not be far wrong, pink is THE colour when you're 4! I said no, could you imagine the resale value? lol

Slightly off topic-our local school is down the hill from our house,I was talking to a neighbour when I heard this commotion, turned round to see a pigeon being torn apart by a hawk-literally came out of nowhere and destroyed it.Was amazing to see,and graphic.

Had this fella take out a pigeon in my garden! Went out to see what was going on and it just looked at me! I felt a bit intimidated so I went back inside!

WOW, now that's close. We have a couple of buzzards nesting nearby, but as soon as they see me with my camera, they buzz off. Maybe I should tether a pigeon down (just kidding).

that is ace!
spot on hoggy!
a nice female sparrowhawk and poor collard dove lol!
i am a bit jealous of that!
well done mate!
