blanking off rear wiper need to stop "water"r from working

hi

can any one please help me ,
i'v just ordered a part to fill the hole where the rear wiper is ,(removing the arm and motor)< knackered

now when i take out the washer motor and leave the water pipe hanging , if i accidentally press the stork to activate the rear washer i'm going to have water all over the boot

i'v tried taking out the fuse but it also stops the front washers from working ,

is there any thing i can do ?

a3 2.0 tdi sline 04 plate

Put a bolt in the end? Pinch it with something? Tie it in a knot?

not sure i can only hear the washer motor noise coming from the front of the car and assuming it will just be long hose to the rear will have to have a dig around never thought about that ,

Just about to do this myself. Was planning on squirting a little silicone into the pipe then screwing in a bolt whilst its still wet. Should ensure a watertight seal?

dont see why it wont work , i gather there wont be too much pressure coming from the pump ,but just have look around on the net and the hose coming from the washer bottle at the front of the car is made up of a few parts (not one long hose) so there could be a possible chance that one of these section could fail and start to leak water in to the car , if you/i press the stork long enough
not that were going to as we know theres no washer motor at the back

so going to try and find the hose that leads to the back of the car from the main washer bottle under the bonnet and see if can blank it off from there ,
so if theres a chance of accidentally pressing the stork , it will only leak from under the bonnet and not in the car ....

I don't think there's enough pressure to cause any problems. My nozzle has frozen over in icy weather in the past which stops the water from jetting out. I've held down the stalk hoping to get it to clear without causing any breakages or leaks from the pressure build up

probably a bit over kill from my part , a guess an easy fix could a bolt /screw silicon and jubilee clip ,

my wiper seized up a good while ago and when trying to move it i broke the wiper, and to be honest iv never accidentally pressed the stalk in ( well i dont think i have )

Ye my wiper motor is knackered too. It's stuck halfway up the window.... I don't see the point in replacing the motor, it looks better without the wiper and I can't say I've missed not having one considering it hasn't worked since I bought the car.

I bought a custom window plug from Designstopfen - Heckwischerabdeckung, Blindstopfen, Kappe, Glasstopfen, De-wiper, Plug, Grommet, Cap. Very expensive at £23 (especially when rubber grommets are a couple of pence) but the thought of having my football clubs logo on it was just too cool

that was the same place i ordered mine just the plain black glass one ,
£23 was a bit much but tried to ordered one from dubmonkey.co.uk @£10 but couldnt get past the payment page so went the german company instead and got the glue with it ,,

to replace the motor was going to be nearly £80 , just a bit too much for my liking ,

I'd be very surprised if Audi use one motor for front and rear.
It's pretty common to use separate front and back, though obviously both are at the front.
Allows better motor life, and in a pinch, can swap pipes over until you replace the dud motor.

I press mine and it fires straight out past the front of the engine haha I need a gromit ASAP. Anyone know of any company's in the north west that stock these?
