Occasionaly. Mainly when its cold (only done it 3 or 4 times) when i first get in the car and go to start it up there is 3 little chirps/beeps coming from behind me. What does this mean, has the world gone mad? Dont have parking sensors and ive noticed this only when the radio is switched off when i start the car (possibly cos when its on its loud so wudnt hear the beeps?) I dunno

The alarm has its own battery? Also another little thing. There are 2 switches in my drivers door card down by my hip. What are they for?

The other is to disable the tow away alarm.

Ah right thanks. And as for the battery it will have to get done when i change my boot solenoid as its hit and miss when i get into the boot and my key dusnt unlock it lol

Officially you can't change the alarm battery - it's built-in to the alarm sounder, so the official route is to buy a replacement alarm sounder. But, some people have managed to open up the alarm sounder and replace the batteries, but it requires a bit of electrical/electronics skill.

If the battery goes totaly dead wat will happen? Will the alarm just not work?
It's a backup battery to make the alarm work even if someone disconnects the main battery, so that's all you'll lose - and gain the annoying beeps!

If you leave it too long the internal alarm battery acid will leak and destroy parts of the alarm siren circuit board - this can lead to unpredictable results. Caught mine just in time - one cell was just starting to leak.
