Anyone else collecting their new A3 on the 1st of March?

I've just been in to the dealership to sign my finance docs and will hopefully have the 1st slot on the 1st to pick up my new car :icon_thumright:

Only 3 weeks to go!!
 
I pick mine up 1st too @ 9am.

Just got back from dealers having a look at the car, 3 weeks is going to be difficult knowing the cars only 5 mins away!

1st of may! Gay long *** wait for mine. And I ordered it n the 4/1/13 got the order on my desk.

My delivery is first or second week of April!

Build week is week commencing 4.3.13

Shouldn't wish my life away but roll on April!
 
Mine is a 3 door, already got a Leon cupra r and a van and the mrs mini cooper s so don't really need a 5 door (got no kids yet) !

I personally prefer the look of the 3 door 8v , 8p I liked the sport back more, 8l 3dr .........

Not expecting mine until the end of May, though I can't wait to see everyones pics on here in a few weeks time.
 
Paid a visit to showroom to spy on mine! Roll on tomorrow!!

Showroom was rammed full, glad I'm the first collection!

Daytona is an AWESOME colour !

Nice one mate and thanks for posting - bet you are over the moon today.

I would say so.

Feels a lot more grown up. Everything also just seems to be higher quality.

I'm guessing I'll probably spot more things after a while. But just an example is the Bluetooth music streaming from my iPhone is much quicker to connect and there's no delay when skipping tracks like in my A1.
 
Great looking car..

Just wondering how you are finding the tfsi engine after the diesel?

Im doing the same and on paper and following a short test drive at least didn't seem to be a lot of difference.

A3 Sline 1.6TDI, Daytona Grey, Tech Pack, Comfort Pack...

Was due to pick up on Tues but I've been called to Dublin for work on Tues and Weds so I'll have to pickup on Thurs:(

Daytona Grey is such a nice colour. I went for white in the end but it was a very close call.

Eagerly awaiting my build date, feels like an age :( ordered 1.6 TDI S-Line on 1st Feb.... I have a feeling iv got a while to wait yet!
 
I considered white as a change - my old A3 was Dolphin Grey - but when I seen Daytona I instantly loved it. I also like that it's that bit more exclusive as its Sline only at this stage. The first new A3 I seen was a white one and it did look amazing. If i'd been able to order the dark 5 rotor wheels i'd have been more inclined to go for white.

Ah that's a nightmare!

I would have loved to get the tech pack purely on the basis that the high res screen looks much nicer. Just couldn't justify the cost for a nice screen.

I saw the same white s-line a couple of times in the week before I collected mine.

First time was on a dual carriageway and it was going in the opposite direction. Nearly crashed getting a good look at it :)

It's definitely quite different to drive for a few reasons.

The power steering adapts to your speed and works really well.

The ride is much better. Firm enough for good handling without being too hard. I found before bad road surfaces would unsettle the A1 s-line. I'm on sport suspension.

Then the other thing just getting used to having 6 gears.

Also a lot quieter than the A1 tdi.

Great pics congrats. Do you have the standard s line suspension or the extra 10mm drop suspension?

Thanks. Just the standard sport suspension.

I'll get some interior photos in the next day or two hopefully.
 
Argghhhh... Thursday is so far away! I think Daytona was the right choice:)
 
Mine's in the garage and I'm just waiting to find out if they can deliver it this week. Cleaned out my Scirocco in preparation for it to go back, kind of sad to see it go as it's been great fun to drive but I'm looking forward to my first Audi.
 
Should have been March 1 but its still in Germany. Was built week 6 apparently, still no shipping date.
Ordered 12th January
