Hi there hope someone can help me, bought my tqs a couple of weeks ago, but the one thing that is bugging me is the wipers seem to be very slow, even on fast setting are painfully lethargic is it a common fault?

It's quite common there is a how to on the site, they basically need stripping and regreasing, i have done both of our cars with the motor in situ but it's easier if you pop it on a bench, just don't lose the circlips on the spindles, oh and the arms are more than likely on very tight, i needed a small puller to remove mine, i have now bought a wiper puller.

Mine were like this,I sprayed wd40 on the spindles and after a few tries they are now fine

The problem with just wd'ing is that it washes out quite quickly.

I wd it about every 6 weeks now,it's been fine for over a year now.Maybe the problem is caused when they're not used for a while?

Gonna try wding at the weekend, they just don't seem to change speed.

WD is a temp fix or not even a fix at all (didnt work for me) Strip them and do it properly. The fault is caused by the metals on the spindels and arm pivots fusing together. There are many simple how to's knocking around, and I have to say I was amazed at the difference, they asolutely fly now!!! But take your time, get a hold of a dimel, some WD, some good old grease. The problem with WD is it will take moisture out the pivot, but will not lubricate it for the future.
