Hi all, I just just won a MFSW on ebay but now reading through Google I am not sure it will fit. the Part number is 8PO 419 091 EB WUL. there are a few posts and some say its from an A4 and other say A5 or even A3. It doesnt have an airbag but I am sure I can source one if all else is good to go on my 07 S4, my current wheel has paddles but nothing else and I really miss the volume control on the wheel.
Thanks Phil

Yes will probably fit, airbag differences may be the issue here with current one, so need to show us pic of current wheel internals/airbag underside & the new wheel internals.

Also you should have the steering cu to code for mfsw, if you have paddles.

Thanks for that, is there a way to know what airbag i need so that I can just hunt down the correct one now, that way it'll be just a swap of both! also, as I only have paddles at the moment is it likely the slip ring will need swapping too??

Thanks for the help. Phil

Just get the pics or we could be doing this forever lol.

Sorry to keep bumping this, I am waiting for the new wheel and can send pics of that soon, but my old wheel is on the car and being used, I do not know how to remove the airbag to take pictures, my plan was to get my local indy dealer to fit the wheel once I had all the parts.
Is the letters after the part number relevant?, I see there is a wheel on ebay now taken from an 07 B7 that has the same part number except the letters at the end. this means that maybe my airbag fits this wheel.
Thanks

So as discussed before, here are the pictures of the wheel i bought for my 07 S4. The question is, will it fit and what will i need? I currently have paddles but thats all, so will my slip ring work and will I need anything else?? I guess there is no way to tell if my airbag will fit until its tried????
Is it a DIY job to remove the airbag??

Thanks.

Phil, with respect, 1st I advised you how to check if the wheels compatible when you asked, you havnt done this yet, second you opened a new thread on the same subject which for me is pointless & now 3rd you're asking if it will fit again & I will advise the same thing, remove the airbag from current wheel, take pics & show us, I cant see why you didnt listen to my advice in the beginning, I wasnt lying to you!

The only advice I could give you Phil is listen to Nigel (NHN). He knows his shizzle!!

Apologies but as said in the last post on old thread I do not know how to to remove an airbag, therefore I cannot photo the interior of the old wheel. Until I get the airbag out i guess I am screwed... I had hoped part numbers and pictures of what i had bought may help a little.
Once again, sorry, wasnt trying to waste anybodies time, just trying to get some help. I should have not bought this wheel i guess!
Phil

I advised on another thread how to remove it, bolts are at rear with covers over them, remove covers, T27 iirc, just undo bolts & pull airbag forward slowly.

Believe me I wasn't trying to make it more difficult. All i wanted was some help! I couldn't photo a complete wheel......

Phil, why don't you just listen to Nigel. Why would you make life harder for yourself, I just want an easy life me.

Not trying to bust your balls Phil, but you were given, IMHO, good advice/help.

Anyway, remove airbag & then you'll see if it will fit as that wheel isnt used often.
