Hi all,

Can anyone recommend the correct LED light replacements for side lights and number plate light for a 2007 S3? Can anyone recommend a site/company to buy them from?

Many thanks in advance,

Justin

Justin - have you done a search ? There are hundreds of threads on the subject and a forum member - T8ups provides the full kit.

Please try to search before posting yet another thread on the same subject !

You will never stop this problem on forums lol

Happens on everyone I am on :rulez:

PM t8ups or the em tuning sponsor that comes up at the top of the pages, one and the same person.

LED specialist and all round good guy.

Just to avoid another thread being started does anyone know of another supplier other than t8ups of these that are decent/trustworthy? I bought all my interior bulbs and number plate lights from t8ups and within a couple of months all of them failed. Thanks

Did you give him the opportunity to put things right ?

did you let t8ups know? I'm sure like anything you can get a bad set.... And usually it's me that gets it.

He said I could send them back but I had to send all the lights back at my cost and I would have to buy replacement bulbs in the meantime so would end up costing me quite a bit. Im sure you can get bad batches and all that its just often with one bad experience it can put you off and I would rather just buy from somewhere more reliable or where I can physically buy them from so if they do go wrong I can take them back rather than having to wait for the turnaround time of sending/risk of being damaged in the post and that being blamed etc.

T8ups is your man fella, one bad feedback against loads of positives. He is a top guy and very trusted on here.
With regards to the number plate lights, you could always go for the genuine A5 ones and buy direct from the dealers.
But for your interiors, t8ups is your man!

Many thumbs up for t8ups. He supplies me LED's for customers too and never had any real issues with him. Had 2 LED failures and he sent a new set almost straight away. Yes I had to pay for them until he got the old ones back to determine if they were faulty buy hey if your gonna start modding your car then afew quid aint gonna break the bank.....if it is then dont start modding IMO.

You will not get any more reliable than him:respekt:

Ian, sorry to hear you was not happy with my service, products and overall experience with me.

But did every single Bulb Failed? including all interior ones?

I get the odd number plate bulb fail but all interiors at the same time? If that was the case then i would of sorted this asap for you.

Ash187 has the 1st ever LED kit i made on this forum and yes he has had the number plate bulb go on his which he has followed my T's and C's which i put up in my sponsors section and sent it back and had a replacments, he has had no interior bulbs fail and they have been in there since AUG 2011.

The warranty is like all with any product be, You send it back to me, i take a look and test it, and if its failed i post you out a new one which 99.9% i just replace anyway even if my supplier dont swap the item for me.
To post the bulbs back to me if packed correctly is either an 85p stamp or £1.85 for recorded.

i would not ask you to buy replacments while i awaited your failed bulbs, if you didnt want to post back as you didnt have any bulbs to swap them with i cant be at fault for that can i, yes i sell the LED's and expect them not to fail but i have a fair enough policy for the return of an item to swap over, i had a customer a few weeks back that had a failed sidelight, he didnt have any old bulbs to put in the car while we did a bulb swap so he has bought a new pair and if he returns the failed sidelight bulb i will be happy to send a refund to him which he is happy about.

Thanks
Trups

I can vouch for Trups, absolutely superb! Got loads more custom for him for friends with R32's as well as he does a very good sidelight LED kit!

If anything fails, let him know....will get sorted!

Well none of that was mentioned to me when mine failed. Nothing was ever mentioned about the refund of replacement bulbs bought or postage etc. Mine was both number plate bulbs and two of four interior bulbs. I'm not here to give you bad feedback etc, the lights were great for the few weeks they worked all I am trying to say is if there was a more local supplier of these then I could return the bulbs without the inconvenience or possible damage that may occur with postage. I no longer have the bulbs from the number plate as I got pulled for not having them working and replaced with standard ones the next day and over time have got lost. I guess I could look into genuine audi ones and understand there are no gaurantees they wont go but at least I could take them in to get replaced. Like I say not trying to give a bad rep I can see many on here are very happy and I just had a friday afternoon batch maybe but anyone qho may be able to point me in the direction of someone else that would be handy, as someone has with the audi comment.

Have you checked on eBay? I got my numberplate lights from liuddndd2009, and my interior set from: emarket4un, ebee4u and delhanway2009.
Top quality, no faults, and perfect service. And very reasonable too, all done for less than a tenner. If anything does go wrong then they will send you a replacement, no questions asked. I have a few pics in my build thread if you want to see what they look like.

Also, check out this page for part numbers: Audi A3 LED Interior Light Upgrade DIY | The Sauce
There's two sites where the guy got his lights from too.

Ian,

The T's and C's are there in my section and i am sure alot of members have read them in regards to failed bulbs. Sorry if i did not make this clear.

Feedback is taken on board for the mis hap but if the communication breaks down i cant do nothing about it. i would of sorted this for all for you.

To show there is no hard feelings on this and to maybe help restore your faith in my products and service then if you PM me you address i will supply you some LED's FOC?

Thanks
Trups

Just an example of Trups' great customer service. Top bloke!

I recently bought full set including number plate lights from t8ups. One of them failed, all it took was a quick private message on here and then sending the bulb back to him for a replacement to be sent out next day I think. Less hassle than I have had with most high street stores. They now are all working perfectly.
Can't imagine that he wouldn't have put things right for you

As one of EM Tuning's trade customers I can say his service is second to none...

If I email him a question I usually get a response with 12-24hrs unless he's away for a week. Also very polite and helpful.

We have had some failed LEDs but then if you think about how many 1000s of these things are produced you have to expect it. It's like anything electronic. I even had a £1000 Samsung 3D TV fail out of the box... It's just one of those things.

We even had a few issues with the solder & fitments of some of the products but it was all relayed back to T8ups and im sure he took this on board and spoke to his manufacturer about said issues.

The fact he is offeing to sort it for FOC just goes to show his level of customer service, commitment and faith in his products... I would take him up on the offer :D

Another thumbs up for t8ups from me. Very helpful, great led's and not one of mine has failed.

That gesture is greatly appreciated but I do not expect to get anything foc. Pm'd regarding purchasing some different bulbs to try and get another set which will hopefully work for longer. You lot cant all be wrong.....
