dump valve makes a funny sound off boost !

as above if im driving off boost my dv some times makes a wired sound i cant explain if i do a boost leak check and hold the valve i can fill it vibrating is this normal or is it leaking ?

You have one of these fitted??? what model car? get a proper recirculating DV fitted... BOVs aren't suitable for VAGs on std management...

Mines starting doing something similar to that when i changed my leaky forge dv to the oem one

Ahhh... k... difficult one... bov's etc make noises if there isn't a enough vacuum typically... couldn't say if the 'vibrating' is normal as this is not the sort of valve thats normally fitted to these engines but have you serviced the valve at all recently? most Forge valves need a service with new grease and o-rings every 12 months or so....

Beyond that its difficult to say as your build is not std and therefore could be anything... maybe worth starting a build thread if you have enough pics etc so that we can all see what you have done... too many unknowns including the valve...

Have fitted a similar dual piston one onto a big turbo Mk2 Golf build before but that works fine... not come across a vibration before.. is entirely possible its leaking... if it does it off boost then it could be drawing in air under vacuum... maybe get a smoke test...

the valve is less than 12months old got new from forge you can still see the red grease
ill try and get a video of it making the sound
