Hi guys

i'm looking to get set of these in next week or so, and contacted the company to see if they offer any discount for forum members etc.

PROJECTOR HEADLIGHTS RHD "starline" for Audi A4 (B7, 11/04-08), LED DRL Buy Online

Hope Davs doesn't mind but here's a couple of pics of when he had them fitted to his A4 B7

They said if I could get 5+ people buying they do them for £260 + p&p, saving of £40!!

is anyone interested. Stick your name down if you are and I'll get back to company. (I have no connection with them other than a customer!

Cheers

i would say its a no go mate, but best check with company to be sure. It does say in description not suitable for xenon but don't actually know why

The ones you've seen for 230 are for LHD vehicles. The one in the group buy are for RHD vehicles. I think the guy selling then is the only one selling for RHD in the UK.

Can you tell me where your getting these from as ive just found the same lights for £229.99 :) (Could try get a better group buy deal from them :))
links in the first post mate

Sounds interesting!!!!

Prels right the £229 price is for left hand drive. Car-mod-shop are the only place I've come across that so RHD

Good luck with that mate, don't think that's going to happen tho... Only me and you that want in at the moment it seems.

C360 2013 02 17 17 26 51 got mine fitted last weekend well impressed got them from the car mod shop AUDI A4 B7 04-08 CHROME DRL LED PROJECTOR HEADLIGHTS RHD Buy Online

i think they look well smart brings the front of the car to life only downside are the bulbs they take a H9 fit i put some ultra H9's in and they were like candles so ended up whacking in some H9 100w cheapies from eBay which are better but still looking for an alternative with a better high beam also changed out the fog light bulbs done the H9 mod so they would fit in the H11 fitting now the colour temp match

would these fit an A4 Avant B7 2005.5? currently have stock lights, non xenon.

yes mine is an a4 b7 07 they will fit

Are the car mod shop ones cheaper than the group buy?

Are they the same lights?

no mate, these are the car-mod-shop ones. The cheaper ones you see on the site are LHD obviously we all need RHD. HTH

they look spot on mate. Much adjusting needed to beam or fairly level out the box

I must be being stupid.

The link I see is RHD ones for £259

Ah, I seeeeeeee.

My mistake.

I'd love some of these, but I reckon I'd struggle to fit them to be honest.

The bumper removal frightens the life out of me. Ha ha

Whereabouts are u fella sure someone could lend a hand, there's a good tutorial on here. Doesn't look too bad, mines coming off on few weeks for new grill so thought I might aswell do lights at same time.

You know u want to buddy ......

Am I right in saying that the light output from these lights on dipped beam is very poor even with upgraded bulbs such as osram nightbreakers or Philips extreme, sure i read a thread somewhere. Does anyone know any different?

Mac I think the general view is projector are worse than oem halogen, yes. Fitting HIDs can help though.
I had projectors on my previous car and they weren't great... But still did the job, HIDs made a massive improvement but then you're in the whole legality issue!

Probably stick with the OEM halogens then, shame tho' as the drl's look great

yeah they are definitely the nicest DRL's available IMO. Hoping the light output isn't too shocking only time will tell....

Keep us posted fella, woiuld be interested to know how they are, I do a bit of countryside driving, poor light output is a nightmare

However nice they look (and they do) there's no way I would ever swap out my headlamps if the light output from the new ones was going to be diminished. These are functional items first, and fashion accesories second.

I am interested but taking the bumper off seems like a massive job

Any further info on the poor light output issue?

I also note a few broken sets on eBay lately, all of which seem to have the same fault (broken projector mounting). Is this as common an issue as it sounds?

hey Danny

yeah there do seem to be a lot on eBay with broken projectors, the only person I've spoken to about the output is DAVS he put hids straight into his and light output was ok, however not as bright as some hids... So no further forward I guess.
Not had much interest on group but either, so may go on hold for a while.....

Thing is, I really want some.

But not if they break easily and have rubbish output!!!

Have you spoken to your supplier about the projector mount issue buddy?

no pal ill drop him an email and see what he says.

Nice one.

For all I know it might be 5 out of 500 units suffering and he is selling the defective ones all at once.

Worth a check though.

Fact remains they are the only aftermarket headlights I have found that look OEM and that I would fit.

. Totally agree mate, not a fan of the devil eyes tbh..... And of course these ones are more expensive!!
