Hello All ,

Can anyone recommend good replacement bulbs for my a3 , it's a 2011 3 dr. I want the white / blue light look , but don't want the hassle of fitting hids . I've bought a cheap set from eBay and these look so much better than standard , but could still be improved . A friend mentioned that Phillips are the best , does anyone else have any recommendations ?
Also can anyone tell me what bulb I need for the side lights , those I ordered from eBay where for the previous a3 and were the size of a bullet .

Apologies in advance if this question has been asked a million times before , as a newbie I'm only just getting used to the site :)

I use the Philips Diamond Vision as well. Xenon look on standard fitment.
I'm waiting on Trups to sort me out with matching side and fog lights, hopefuly here March.

I went for a slightly different look for my fogs. I put yellow lamin x film on them and they look surprisingly awesome ImageUploadedByTapatalk1361181842866263 I will get a better photo later.

Can't go wrong with Phillips Diamond Vision for the headlights

Just ordered myself as set of these last night can't wait to get them fitted and get rid of those horrible oem bulbs.

Right finished late from work and got home too find my new bulbs had arrived, couldn't wait to get them fitted so got the torch out and fitted them in the dark lol, well what can I say massive improvement and just what I was looking for bright white with the blueish tinge. Close up to the garage you can really see the blue tinge but from a distance it's subtle, sorry about the crap iphone picture it was cold late and my tea was in the oven.

Nice one good finish. I recommend them to everyone who wants the white light with a touch of blue. And they are worth every penny. I keep a spare set in the boot incase one goes and you have to change it instead or running with the horrid yellows until the new set arrives lol abit OCD bit works for me.

Yea your right. Not the cheapest bulbs around but well worth the money, I'm very happy with the end result Unlike a lot of bulbs I've tried before these actually do what the say on the tin. I just need some matching sidelights now, have you managed to find any that work well with the diamond visions?

I have fitted drls myself in the front grills so taken the side lights out and put resistors in so the warning lights don't flash up.

If your interested in the mod I did, check this website out followed it to the letter and they look awesome. I will get some pics up if u want?

Get in touch with trups. I've got some led drl/side light bulbs off him. They look good and no need for resistors. How good do you find Phillips headlights light the road up? The cheap eBay blue tint bulbs I've got now are absolutely horrendous. I can barely see what's in front of me on a dark road. At speed I just can't see far enough in front of me without putting the main beam on. I defo recommend everyone stays away from the cheap crap on eBay.

The philips aren't to bad, their defo not as bright as HID or real Xenon but I dont find any problems driving around.
I'd still use a good light for the full beams. Like Philips Xtreme or Osram Night Breaker.

yea ill drop t8ups a pm, they light up the road much better than the standard bulbs I had before, you can see further were as I always needed my main beam on a dark road, and they look great.

Check out Xtec Super Whites, I heard some good things about Mtec bulbs as well. I have Xtec's in my car, and I have to say, they are a big improvement over the standard yellow Philips bulbs that I had before. And at £6.50 a pop, there isn't very much to lose!
They match very nicely with the LED sidelights that I got off eBay too.
