So its been a little while but i have got my next upgrade in.

I was hoping to have this all fitted in before Christmas but the parts weren't ready.

I finally got it all back in January and fitted it in but due to the bad weather i havent had the chance to get half decent pics...

I have fitted A5 S-Line seats retrimmed in half leather and Alcantara and had the grab handles and door armrests all trimmed in leather with red stitching to match the other bits inside the car...

the seats have lumbar support which i have wired in (they are soo good) and i will be fitting in the heating panels soon so i got the heated seats climate in advance.

anyway here are the pics:

the seats when i first got them:

Beat me too it n8 was just going too say where's the red stitching on the seats, Nice work tho ash loving the seats and stitching

Honestly I really wanted the stitching on the seats but the difference in price was like another £800! I just couldn't justify spending that extra while i've got work going on the house :(

As I only did the front centres it was much cheaper otherwise it would have been fresh leather and alcantara on front and back with new stitching all around which is where the price jump come in. Still it's a lovely install... Who knows maybe il do the seats properly again later?

Top job Ash, that looks awesome.
really like the grab handles and the carbon fibre trim.
Kudos on re-wiring and fitting the seats, that takes home modding to the next level.
Keep up the good work..

Very like what I see Ash.

But personally I would go with S5 seats instead.

Seats look mint mate. Half leather and Alcantara looks so much better in cars than full leather IMO.

Seats ok, but without red stitches looks like from different car.

Anyway I like this mod

i knw but seeing I got the seats as a payment for a job I did it was a really good deal!

Are the a5 seats a straight fit?
Not exactly... There is an extra locator lug which you can either grind off or you can drill a new hole into the car to allow the locator lug to seat in.
Then you need to convert the plugs for airbags, seat belt sensor, rear footwell light etc so that the car can continue to work as normal, i also wired in the lumbar support at this point.

If you get the fully electric version seats then there is more work to get those working in sense of wiring.

Seats ok, but without red stitches looks like from different car.

I know :(
but in all fairness it looks like the Oem half leather sport seats that were in the car from before... Only looks a little odd as I have added all the red touches.

Oh ok :(

Looks good Ash,the lack of red stitching on the seats breaks it up a bit for me :icon_thumright:

A little random but where did you get those neck support cushion things from? I could really use one! My head rest may as well not be there it is useless

Got them years ago from eBay... Search for Neck rest pillow. You can get them with funny logos and in leather but I prefer these plain cloths ones, really comfy

First thing I did was get on ebay but can only find the "leather with funny logos" ones! I prefer yours too

There is a little update to this thread...
So I always wanted to get the heated seats but as I previously said I earned these A5 seats from a job I had done so I couldn't pick and choose.
Anyway I recently found a set of A5 seats at an absolute bargain that had the heated elements in it so I snapped them up and got to work.

i stripped them down and took the elements out of them, stripped my seats down and moved the elements over and refit it all up. I didn't get many pics when doing this but here is one where I was fitting the elements into my own seats

And finally last night I managed to finish off the install and now have fully working, oem spec a5 half leather seats with electric lumbar and heated seats in my car

An install like this takes a good couple days... I managed to do the element swap in a day and the rewiring the car took another full day but well worth it! Overall this project took me about 6 weeks to complete althought most of that time was down to being busy with customers and waiting for kudatec to get their backside in gear.
Although I have done a couple of these for others I now know how good it feels to have them in my own car.
