Exhaust upgrade.

Hi. I have bought an upgrade downpipe and sportcat and have a milltek system from the cat back.

Is it worth getting a stainless manifold before I fit the downpipe or are they not worth the hassle and money? Do the give much of a performance increase or more for sound ?

They're an absolute pain in the t*ts to fit... Depending on how much you want to struggle, you can either take the head off and have a hard life, or you can leave the head on and loose skin and have a harder life...

If you're wanting more than 280bhp on a standard turbo, you will need to change the manifold... If you're just going stage 1, I wouldn't bother...

With 100,000 miles, a B5 TIP, downpipe and decat I got 265bhp and 275lbft with a slightly dodgy MAF and n75... Plenty enough

Is an S3 cat and Catback standard exhaust an upgrade for lesser A3 models please?
Would it fit straight on ?
