From 3000rpm to 4000rpm almost missing sound

Bare with me on this but difficult to explain over text!
Say I'm in third and put my foot down from 3000rpm to 4000rpm it almost like a pulsing sound from the air being sucked in but after 4000rpm it seems like the engine is using all the air being rammed in and is fine,
And seems worst when I start to put my foot down at 3000rpm, if I boot it from low down seems to be less noticeable?
I recently fitted a Bluefin so maybe the ecu is still learning and try to cope with the extra air from the revo induction kit, don't think its effecting power but just doesn't sound good,

Any ideas do you think it will clear itself?

Is it just the turbo spooling up??

Yea sounds exactly the same about the same revs too!

Eitherway, sounds 100% normal. Its the DV. Its what they do.

What year is your car?

If your still worried, Check the DV to make sure its Revision D (or G i think aswell now) and not C for example as the earlier ones had diaphragms that split, until they were changed for a different piston operated design.

Judging by your white DIS needles etc, yours is a later model, but it doesnt hurt to look.

Here a picture of the 3 torx screws you need to undo to check :

make sure you keep a firm grip on these and dont drop them down into the engine bay, I've had fun finding one of these *******s!!

The metal housing you see here, stays on the car normally. so your only looking to take of the black plastic part.

Check part number on the side, and boom, your wiser.
