Following on from the post in the 8P room,

http://www.audi-sport.net/vb/a3-s3-...-switch-launch-control-flatshift-tfsi-s3.html

this is to make all you B7 guys aware of our new feature :)

After many, many, many! hours of testing, I'm pleased to announce this map switching feature is now fully up and running! Test mule's have been a K03 car and also a highly modded K04 car (Golf ED30)

The default map can either be a valet map with reduced performance, or completely standard. You can then quickly switch to up to 4 other maps which to allow different boost, throttle response or even fuel type. Video's of switching in action will follow in due course.

These maps are 100% truly, absolutely custom developed entirely in house. If there is something very specific you want, the chances are we can develop it

Thanks, Rick

Sounds good rick, do you have any plans for this type of map to be developed for any of the TDI engines? I'm particularly interested in the launch control & flat shift as I have a standard tiptronic auto box...

Hi Jim.

I've thought about TDI's but not sure there's the same demand for them. It is a LOT of work to get to this point, so i'd have to choose - would i do the 170 PD engine or the 140 as they use a different ECU. In theory it could be done, but but no plans as yet.

Rick

Yea, another ECU - so that's three :D With early PD's on the EDC15 ECU you can have it so that you can have three map sets and change them using VAGCOM/VCDS - i can do that now no problem.

Rick

Us TDI boys don't half get a raw deal. I'd be interested in this if you developed it for the 140, I'd even volunteer as a guinipig for it.

Cheers Rick,

If only I could change my username so people don't think I'm Jim! (Joe)

If you ever go down the route of developing it for the 3.0tdi let me know, or as above, if you need a guinea pig for some testing

Us TDI Boys always have to wait damn
