Quite a brand snobish point of view, probably shouldn't expect much more from typical Audi owners, I can understand why there is such a massive Audi bashing following on Pistonheads now. Oil has to meet strict guidelines, if it meets those then why not use it?

Yeah probably as strict as the guidelines for tyres & many other things that get accidentally ignored, something thats cheap, usually has a reason for being so imho, thats not to say I would buy the most expensive item available, as I pay a fair price for my Edge from audi tbh, but I'd rather, when considering the importance of the product, use something tried & tested as being reliable & quality.
Maybe some of us choose the better oil because we want our engines to last longer, run better, not need swapping out more often, etc, thus saving us further costs going forward.
I rate there tools as I use them myself, but I wouldnt use there engine oil tbh as I dont think its as good quality as the Edge product.
If you prefer pistonheads attitudes, then feel free to use there forum, but lose the attitude on here please.
