Is this the right turbo for my car??

Hi Guys,

I am looking at getting my car ready for Stage 2, i Have a 1998 A3 1.8T just running a standard KO3 turbo, 3inch downpipe, Decat, Milltek Exhaust, Forge 008p dv, K&N induction kit and stage 1 revo MAP.

The Turbo i am looking at is part number KO3-053 is this the correct upgrade to my standard KO3 and will it fit?

Also what other parts would you recommend for Stage 2 MAP?

You will want a good fmic too.

Yep.. 053 is the k03s.. Needs a bigger Tip compared to your k03 one

Would get a custom map to take advantage of the K03s upgrade as generic maps won't cut it really...

Thanks guys, Where is the best place to get an upgraded TIP? Regards to the Map i will be heading back up to Nick at R-tech as he did my stage 1, What sort of power would i be looking at with a custom map with the KO3s?

that turbo of yours has gone from 5 to 4 to 3 mth old in a very short time

i bought it a month ago the guy i got it from stated it was done 4-5 motnhs ago lol

How much Do you want for the turbo? Have you got any pics soni can see the condition of it? How come your not using it if you not mind me asking.

To the OP... if you plan to fit the hybrid then you will need a lot more bits... VR6 maf housing, bigger injectors, different TIP and definitely a custom map (your revo won't cut it)

Cheers tuffty will keep money talk to personal messages. About the injectors I'm trying to source some calibra 440cc yellow injectors as they were recommended to me. Would they be enough? Where is the best place to get a new TIP as I'm pretty new to the turbo game, used to simple V8s lol would just definitely need a fmic? Apologies for me rambling on with questions.
