No problem, I needed a quick sale on them lights and i got it! Get some pics up of your car when the lights are on.

I take it you mean my mates Lupo? Yeah it is one crazy build. You'll be lucky to get a demo out of him especially where he is working, I think last time he played it there security turned up because the windows on the building started to rattle :angrymod:

I have seen the thread and would have loved to be there for this but unfortunately cant make this one.

I'll keep a look out for any other events in the future, will be good to meet up with a few of you guys and actually put faces to the names...

Also did the puddle lights but somehow managed to delete the photos.

The lighting upgrade has made a huge difference. Gone has the yellow-ee look and the fresher more daylight look is much better when dark at night. All the lights are much brighter than original and the sidelights and foglights match the xenon headlights really well.

A big thanks to Trups of EM Tuning for the lights. All good quality stuff with excellent service.

whats going on in the boot pictures lol

how much was the led kit with the bulbs for the spots and headlights too?

cheers.

 Yeah the boot pic's didn't come out to good, just turn the contrast up on your device but you can still see the before and after difference.

I paid £74 for all the LED lights that i changed. I did look on Ebay and you probably can get them a little cheaper but these from EM Tuning are excellent quality and were so easy to install. Talk to Trups if your interested, im sure he'll sort you out.

Off my mates phone:

Think it needs to go down more and rims need spacing to get a good all-round stance so i'll have to have a play around when i next get some free time.

mate im in love with your car lol its looks ****** awesome!!! ... am aiming to do exactly the same without the roof but getting it to be mechanically perfect before i spray my bumpers and rear quarter panel !!!

coming along nicely, im not a fan of those wheels but they actually look better than i thought they was going to. What you going to do with the rear lights anything? i was thinking of red tinting mine.

That^ The wheels dont look very wide at all but yet have a huge stretch on the tyre which makes them look tiny

yeah mate looking at the pics you need to fit the right tires on that

i think the tyres look fine, not too much stretch. once they are spaced out, it'l look better.

Thanks for your coments guys.

I was looking for a set of 19's as i think they fill the arches better on a S3 but these came along so i thought i'd try them out.

They are:

Front - 8.5x18" 215 35 18
Rear - 9.5x18" 225 40 18
ET - 35

These wheels were on a MK4 Golf originally so yeah the tyres are probably not the correct size for an S3 but after calculating that they are just within the 5% tolerance the Haldex allows i thought i'd leave these tyres on for now. The rear tyres will need replacing soon so i think i will go for a slightly lesser stretch at that time.

Next i'll be trying to sort the stance out.

Really suit it mate well done....:icon_thumright:

Thanks mate.

I loved the look of the black roof on yours so thats where i got that idea from, think it works really well on silver...

I did think about putting a light tint on the rear lights but think i will leave them as standard for now...

Latest update:

These arrived yesterday

Hope to get them on the car soon.

Looking forward to the updates Jay....cars looking spot on!!

Still not got round to fitting the spacers but the Milltek went on today.

Sounds great!

Much deeper sound but not too loud, just as i wanted it. Went for the cat-back, non-resonated system with 'special' tailpipes. The car feels slightly more responsive so overall a good upgrade.

It'll sound better with time. A few months after I'd got mine and it got coked up, it sounded way better.

A week on and the Milltek is sounding much deeper and louder!

Decided to put the spacers on today:

Im thinking of dropping the ride-height slightly alround, little high in my opinion.

Love the wheels Jay, are you going to get the grill surround wrapped to match the mirrors and sills that would really suit it.

Chris.

That looks fantastic, was looking at these for me A3, looks like I've made up my mind ;)
keep up the good work!

Thanks Chris

I have another grill on order, hopefully that will be on the car in next few weeks.

Thanks mate.

The side blades give a nice contrast on the silver too..

The whole black detailing idea came after seeing yours Dave so yeah it works well :icon_thumright:

You could get 255s on those rear wheels ;)

Lower?! You're going to need to get a few sumps spare then. Mines a touch higher than yours and I worry about my sump all the time. Maybe try those 15mm engine raisers? Does it rub on the rear?

I want to do the black detailing too, it'll match my gloss black 17x9s about to go on.

255? No! The 225 with the stretch are looing good now, will look even better once i drop it more.

I drive it as a daily but yeah i'll have to be careful with the sump. It doesn't rub on the back thanks to the 225's, there is still plenty of clearance but will drop it just enough so i get minor rubbing at the most.

Looking forward to seeing your 9x17's, the black detailing will go well with your rims.

Yeah I run 225/40s currently but only on 8.5's so there's minimal stretch. Going for grip this time around so I'm running 245 all round. There's so much room in the rear arches.

It does look awesome though. Wish I could run lower but the roads round by me aren't great.

Grill arrived today :yahoo: Gonna make a huge difference to the front end.

Just a random pic:

Will hopefully get round to dropping the ride-height this week...

Its looking superb.
What was the original offset and width of the wheels before adding the spacers?

Just need to fit that number plate on straight and it'd be a perfect ***. Thought about shorter plates?
