:respekt:

Mine was so tight it was a struggle to get on, I don't think there is much chance of it coming off although i popped a jubilee clip on anyway :)

+1 to this. Just received mine and pretty happy for the £.

More than happy with the result! I got the yellow and black filter as well which looks good.

Bit of both in my honest opinion. My car is virtually standard, I put this on and u can hear the turbo which is nice, and it's more responsive.

+1 its quieter than others but there def is bit more flutter noise than others ive used in the past

defo seems better in response

Surely sound is the same as a regular cone filter due to the design. Filtration is arguably better, with it being paper.

How did Jardo get on with some proper testing?

Im going back to std airbox with foam filter. The noise this s2000 filter makes is horrible. On low revs apply throttle and it sounds like a 1.0 corsa with a cone filter on. Deep throaty and goes nowhere untill boost comes in.
It is 12"squared larger than the panel filter though and its only £9 so its ok, just not for me.
im keeping my b5tip std airbox foam filter and 4" ducting the way it was.

Did this today. Only cost me 15euro from my local motor factors. Did not notice any difference not that I was expecting any. Probably just breaths better. Only difference was more noise.

Ordered red/black one for me - arrived today :) But mine too appears to have been oiled....problem?

Joined the club today just fitted the Blueprint ADH22236 airfilter does come lightly oiled ...blew mine thru with airline just to make sure no excess
Just heading out for a wee drive:racer:

gah still waiting for mine to turn up. going to have to take it into work and blow it through with a air line aswell if it's oiled...

I take it if i want to fit this to a non s3 im gunna need some sort of adapter as ive just brought one of these, stripped down the air box and the lip that attaches to the new filter is alot smaller :S

Yeah you will need an adapter. I got mine from JSPerformance (thanks for the tip paultownsend) and got the filter off GSF.
I asked for an 86-70x80mm adapter, I ended up trimming 10mm off the small dia though.

Fitted it today along with a catch can (zip ties are temporary and many apologies for the dirty bay)

No proper testing with the air filters as such, but I can now prove that my airflow calculations were 100% accurate.

And as such the airflow gains must have equated to power.

191.2 logged, 239bhp on the RR. 196 logged, 245 on RR. So it was spot on for me.

Looking good there Luke! I haven't actually fitted mine yet. What spec is your car? Do you feel it's made any difference? I assume it sounds pretty mental?

Almost standard ARY engine (180bhp), I'm having some boost problems so couldn't tell you if it's made any difference. Definitely sounds mean though

Theres mine, excuse the x2 zipties, they have now been replaced :D
Sounds fantastic :)

@Mk1magic

i never actually ordered my reducer from JSP. What size did you go for in the end?

Interesting as I need a new filter. Are those of you with out heat shields supporting the MAF in anyway?

I had the 70-80mm, was a tight fit but with a bit of fairy and soaking the silicone in boiling water for a couple minutes she slipped on nice ;)

Ah. I was hoping for a proper test on the rollers with a new Jetex vs an S2000 filter. The only real way to fairly test it.

The paper filtration is good though, just the cost of replacing them at each service will add up. Or buy 10 at once :)

Would like to see this Sam, just curious to see which filter will come out on top, paper vs performance filter.

I never did get round to selling my filter earlier in the thread as there was a problem with paying through PayPal.. So I still have a Red filter for sale here if anyone is after one?

Was on the car for about 5 mins. Would like £15 + £2 postage

I sure i speak for everyone when i thank benjamin for this great mod/trend thats caught on. Giving people the gains they want for a fraction of the price.
Only thing is its a little more difficult to sell our old jetex filters lol

Just a quick heads up, these are back in stock at ECP, use code PARTS25 and it comes in at £13.72 with free postage :)

Just a quick thought on supporting the maf.
I'm currently using the OE TIP. Next week il be ordering a creations motorsport silicone TIP.
i take it these are a lot more ridged than the OE item? And with the end of the s2k filter zip tied to the inner wing hook, will provide enough support?
