Alloy Opinions

Maintenance is something to consider, i.e. replacement tyre cost, so if 19's aren't for you I'll stop badgering!

If you're buying new wheels & tyres it's well worth the extra £150 for some new springs while you're at it. Comfort and stance will both improve.

Id probably rather get 18's and springs, not sure i could afford the extra money of tyres for 19's :(

Think i want to stick to 18's really, not only due to expense but im told the ride on 19's is bad! And the roads round here are awful :(

I'm glad somebody else thinks like me. I want to upgrade my 17's for 18's, 19's seem to expensive and I'm worried about the ride too.

I have been looking for wheels and have half decided on.........

I must say though, if a set of used RS6 wheels came up with decent tyres I would snap them up.

The BBS CH (first one) are £390 - staggered 8J / 9J

The BBS LM (second one) are £374 - 8J all round

Both delivered prices.

I'm feeling the CH more i think, will look bigger in 18's than the LM I think.

Yea CH are nicer, i cant make my mind up on them though, looked before at them for my Leon. What colour A4 u got?

Mine is black.

That's why I was looking at the LM's as they give a bit of contrast, although the CH do have a very small polished lip.

Ideally want something dark grey, but they are few and far between. Could paint I guess.

They're the wheels im upgrading from, i want graphite or anthracite ideally which is why i like the RS4's

Sounds like we are on the same page buddy.

I do like the RS4's but they seem a little "overdone".

Is your car black too?

I'm still struck by the RS4's and the rotor alloys.

Such a tough decision.

What's the best price you found on the gunmetal RS4's.

Out of your list i'd go CH.

People might think they're overdone but thats because they work.

Have you considered 3SDMs? Also maybe considered overdone but yet again they work!

19's every time, my opinion just though, took my 19's off Yest to try 18's on but looked way to small

For the darker RS4's is £400 for 18's and the ROTOR's are a similar price, found RS4's cheaper but not as dark in colour

Any pics anywhere with the CH's fitted to a Red A4?

Nice prices, I think I like them both about the same.

I'll get whichever ones you don't and we can swap if we change our minds!!!!!

Lol, im thinking just buy 2 of each, one side RS4 and the other ROTOR, lol

I like your thinking. I have blacked my chrome on one side too lol.

I'll buy one set, you buy the other and we'll swap two.

Decided yet?

Me too if I'm honest.

I'm also considering going full on silver rather than darkened.

Tough decisions.

Ugh. That's complete opposites.

I had a look at pics today and black wheels on a black car makes it look too "modified".

I think I may go silver RS4's to be honest.

They also do them in black but with a polished face, look quite nice maybe?

In the last six months I've gone from 17s to 18s and as of the weekend up to 19s. For a total all round package I prefer 18s, they look good with the majority of ride heights. My personal opinion is that 19s just don't suit cars that aren't slammed, I lowered mine slightly and still think 19's look a bit odd where as the chunkier tyres on my S4s seem to suit the car better. Plus there's no denying that 18's are way more comfortable and practical than 18's.
Have you considered 18" S4 wheels or 18" speedline reps? My two fav OEM wheels and not as played out as much as RS4s etc.

I'd like some S4 wheels but am struggling to find some to be honest (for a reasonable price).

They do look awesome on your car.

No i don't like them, remind me of mondeo wheels!
