I am current running 18in 8j RS4 reps with 225/40s on front and rear.

The car just does not look right what spacers are you running front and back?

I have the original RSTT rims, with 15mm spacers all round, mine looks good, maybe I should lose the fronts to 10mm though, then it'd be spot on.

Cheers buddy, I was looking at 20mm for the rears and 15mm for the fronts, might be too much poke as I want my looking flush.

10mm front and 15mm rear.

Go wider and expect your paintwork to suffer even more stone chippage than mine has.

I have 18"rstt I have 20mm front 30mm rear

Looks good Bob, its a win win as I found a set going cheap the same as yours.

Yeah I got a bargain on both fronts as my full set of hub centric spacers including longer wheel bolts and a longer locking bolt set cost me £100 off the classifieds on here and were as new when I received them.

My 17" TT (proper ronal ones) wheels were an ebay bargain as only 20miles from my house and got them for £140 and they had been refurbed in the same grey colour as found on the centre caps and only one had a slight mark on it tyres were reasonable too but have worn them flat now lol

I do love a bargain me :)

Just got 20mm FK and 15mm 5x100/5x112 both sets with M14 longer bolts for £55 collected.

Totally with you on this they are deals to be done at the moment.

Jay1's set up looks awesome.

I currently have 15mm front and 20mm rear, may put the rears on the front and invest in some 30mms for the back.

I used to run ( with genuine Audi 18" 9 spoke RSTT alloys)

10mm front ( with Porsche Big reds)
15mm rear.

There was only a credit card thick clearance between Porsche caliper and rear of the spokes, but worked well over 2 cars/10 years

Cheers guys, I got the 20mm rears and 15 fronts, I'll get some pics up this weekend.

Oh and you do know the pedal on the right goes all the way to the floor don't you? cos how the hell are you averaging 34.4 mpg!!!

I treat my car like I treat my women, slowly until I upgrade the parts, then I take them for a good thrashing.

Doing well, but on the other hand the only reason mine was so low was when the stat packed in & it ran cold for a week.
Defo pulled the MPG's down!

Has anyone got a pic of a S3 running standard wheels with a 15mm / 20mm setup..??

What spacers do you guys recommend running with original Avus wheels?

Well guys, I fitted the 20mm on the rear this morning, the car looks better for sure, a little poke at the rear which is so,so I am hoping for no tyre rub lol. Fitting the 15mm at lunch time so will post up pictures then.

The ET on the fronts was 37 and its now 22.
The ET on the rears was 37 and its now 17.

Do you have to get four wheel alignment done?

your reps were ET37? N wonder they looked extra cack.

Just to correct VrBob above, I'm pretty sure genuine RSTT's are ET32, and the 17'' TT wheels he posted pics of are definitely ET32 not 35, but they're also 7.5J so it's irrelevant when comparing to RSTT's at 8J.

Cheers Prawn, this that a technical response on my fakes lol.

My genuine 18inch rstt's 8js are defo et33.. i run 20mm front to clear the 6pots and 25mm on the rear...et8 on the rear does sound exessive but its well inside the arches even with adjustable tie bars..the fronts are flush (just)

phil..

Just looking at front they dont have any spacers and I am running 4pots with 330 discs but 8j rims.

Prawn is right (again lol)

My TT wheels are 7.5J and et of 32

The RSTT`s are ET 33 and 8J

MY RSTT`s do sit a bit better than the TT wheels in the arches too

OE RSTT's are 18x8 ET33 and OE Avus are 17x7.5 ET32...

I use 10mm front and 15mm rear hubcentric spacers for both my AVus and RSTT

<tuffty/>

Fitted 20mm at the rears and 15mm on the fronts.

Final ETs are actually. I checked the ET again lol.

The ET on the fronts was 35 and its now 20.
The ET on the rears was 35 and its now 15.

Just need to wait for the suspension to settle to see if the right decision has been made. There is a little poke all round, feel like a scene whore.

:motz: another wheel thread where people don't seem to realize that you need wheel width, wheel offset & spacer size in order to compare wheels/stance. ***

my wheels are round shaped - what size spacers do i need

:undwech:

Mind posting some pics? Would like to see how much poke you have with that final offset.

I am going to change the fronts to 10mm due to preference.

I got 18" 8j with 225/40's with 35mm on the back... Did have to roll arch a little tho but looks mean, an just trying to decide what spacers for the front :s
