no its all good apart from it smokes a bit when u been on a run and leave it for a while and start it again.

I think you'll find that it's soot blowing out, not smoke ! They all do it eventually but it doesn't signify a knackered engine !

Get your egr valve checked and cleaned, its the usual culprite.

after speaking to loads of people im thinking of letting a local engine rebuild company remove my head and recon it and also recon the block while still in car as its not needed to be removed.

do pistons need to be rebored and oversized if car has done 200,000 milles with full long life history as u cant tell untill remove head but alot of people so NO ????

New piston rings and de-glaze the cylinders would be advisable if your going to strip it down that much

Shouldn't need to 'bore-out' them

So has your BKD done 200k? There is hope for mine yet! (119k & just stage 1 map with EGR delete & also hot start fix map)

im sure you can do better than £1750.
shop arond to bypass the middle men
and get your engine rebuilt.
but you havent told us any thing
about the milage of your car.

yes m8 going to local engine rebuild firm they will do mine for 500-600 plus vat plus my m8 needs to take head of and use his ramps

not worth it as the ECU and other things have to changed.
just get someone to rebuild the engine.
